Abstract
Nyamuk genus Culex dikenal sebagai vektor penular
arbovirus, dan demam kaki gajah. Pengendalian nyamuk dengan
insektisida alami merupakan pengendalian alternatif yang relatif
aman bagi lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan tanaman yang
terdapat di kampus ITS sebagai pestisida nabati, yaitu tanaman
mangkokan. Daun mangkokan mengandung senyawa alkaloid,
tannin, saponin dan flavonoid. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah
mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun mangkokan terhadap
mortalitas nyamuk Culex sp..
Ekstrak mangkokan dengan metode maserasi etanol 96%
diaplikasikan pada 20 larva Culex sp. instar 3 dengan
konsentrasi 0%, 0,5%, 1%, 1,5%, 2%, 2,5% dan 3%. Parameter
yang diamati meliputi mortalitas, LC50 dan pembentukan pupa.
Nilai LC50 dianalisis dengan Probit. Data hasil pengamatan
mortalitas dianalisis dengan ANOVA dengan uji lanjut Tukey.
Data pembentukan pupa dianalisis secara deskriptif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak mangkokan
memberikan pengaruh terhadap mortalitas nyamuk Culex sp..
Semakin tinggi nilai konsentrasi, semakin meningkat jumlah
mortalitas larva nyamuk. Nilai LC50 diperoleh pada konsentrasi
1,338%. Ekstrak daun mangkokan memberikan pengaruh
terhadap gagalnya pembentukan pupa nyamuk Culex sp.

Mosquitoes in Genus Culex are known as vectors
transmitting arboviruses and elephantiasis fever. Mosquito
control with natural insecticide is relatively safe control for the
environment by using plants that are planted on ITS campus as a
natural pesticide, namely Mangkokan. Mangkokan leaves
contains alkaloids, tannins, saponins and flavonoids. The purpose
of this study was to determine the influence of Mangkokan leaf
extract on mortality of Mosquito Culex sp..
Mangkokan extract with 96% ethanol maceration method
was applied to the 20 larvae Culex sp. instar 3 with the
concentration of 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5% and 3%. The
parameters to be observed were mortality, LC50 and pupa
formation. LC50 values were analyzed by Probit. Mortality data
were analyzed by ANOVA and tested further with Tukey's test.
Data of pupa formation were analyzed descriptively.
The results showed that the extract mangkokan has
influence on mortality of Mosquito Culex sp.. The higher of
concentration increases the number of mosquito larvae mortality.
LC50 value was obtained at concentration of 1.338%.
Mangkokan leaf extract has influence on the failure of pupa
formation of mosquito Culex sp..
