Abstract
Pada era globalisasi, masih saja terdapat desa / daerah tertinggal di Indonesia.
Daerah tertinggal itu sendiri sebagian besar berada pada wilayah-wilayah terluar
Indonesia. Salah satu penyebab yaitu jauhnya daerah dari pusat kota dan sulitnya
akses menuju lokasi. Dusun Pucukan Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur termasuk ke
dalam kategori daerah tertinggal disebabkan oleh kehidupan warganya kurang layak.
Keadaan dusun ini membutuhkan suatu perubahan agar kualitas hidup dan lingkungan
warga menjadi lebih baik.
Berdasarkan pengamatan yang telah dilakukan, dusun Pucukan memiliki
potensi mangrove yang belum tereksplorasi. Oleh karena itu, muncullah ide
perancangan kawasan ekowisata mangrove di dusun Pucukan. Sebuah kawasan
ekowisata diharapkan akan membantu meningkatkan kualitas ekonomi penduduk
setempat, sehingga dusun Pucukan menjadi dusun yang mandiri.
Kawasan ekowisata mangrove terdiri dari fasilitas riset dan pendidikan;
wisata; dan industri yang berbasis masyarakat. Rancangan menggunakan pendekatan,
green building, ecotourism society dan architecture promenade. Pendekatan green
building dan ecotourism society dipilih agar desain yang tercipta tidak merusak alam
dan kondisi lingkungan disekitar lokasi serta memberikan dampak positif pada
penduduk setempat, sedangkan architecture promenade dipilih untuk menciptakan
sekuen yang diinginkan pada rancangan. ========== In the era of globalization, there are still some underdeveloped villages /
areas in Indonesia. Those underdeveloped villages are mostly located in the outermost
regions. The distance to the big city and the difficulty of access are the main cause of
the cases. Pucukan Village, in Sidoarjo, East Java is categorized as the
underdeveloped villages because of the less feasible lives of its citizen. But besides
the deficiencies, Pucukan has mangrove as a potential thing that can be developed.
A mangrove ecotourism design is a response related to the underdeveloped
issue in the Pucukan Village. An ecotourism area will help to improve the quality of
the local economy, which will affect the Pucukan Village to become an independent
village.
The ecotourism area consists of research and educational facilities; tourism;
and community-based industries. The term green building, ecoturism society and
architectural promenade are used as an approach in designing the ecotourism area.
The green building and the ecoturism society approach is chosen as an approach to
minimalize the negative impact of this project to the existing site and nature and to
bring positive impact to the locals, while the promenade architecture is chosen to
create the desired sequence in the design project.
