Abstract
Rumah sakit dr. M. Soewandhi Surabaya dalam
menjalankan fungsi operasionalnya menghasilkan limbah, baik itu
limbah domestik, limbah padat, limbah cair serta limbah
radioaktif, Adanya penambahan kapasitas menyebabkan kinerja
IPAL menjadi kurang efektif dan permasalahan yang saat ini
terjadi adalah tingginya kandungan N(nitrogen) dan P(Phospat)
bebas yang belum bisa memenuhi baku mutu yang berlaku.
Pada Tugas Akhir ini yang pertama dilakukan adalah
Evaluasi terhadap unit IPAL yang sudah ada dan dilanjutkan
dengan redesain dari unit yang belum memenuhi kriteria desain
dan bermasalah. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi bangunan IPAL,menunjukkan
bahwa kandungan NH3-bebas dan Phospat masih tinggi, serta
belum stabilnya kinerja IPAL secara keseluruhan. Hal ini
dibuktikan dengan kualitas pada outlet IPAL masih berubah-ubah.
Penggunaan kompartemen anaerobik-aerobik biofilter belum
mampu mereduksi kadar NH3-bebas dan Phospat. Redesain
yang direncanakan adalah dengan menambahkan paket
koagulasi-flokulasi, untuk mengatasi kandungan Phospat dan
NH3-Bebas yang tinggi. Hasil perhitungan setelah di bangun unit
flokulasi-koagulasi didapatkan NH3-bebas 0,05 mg/L dan
Phospat 0,7 mg/L, nilai tersebut sudah memenuhi baku mutu air
limbah rumah sakit. ========== dr. M. Soewandhi Surabaya hospital produced waste in
their daily operational process, whether solid, liquid, radioactive
and domestic waste. Due to increasing number of domestic waste
capacity, the existing wastewater treatment plant becomes less
effective which lead to high concentration of N (nitrogen) and P
(phosphate) that do not comply with regulation.
The first step in this final project is to evaluate treatment
unit of the existing wastewater treatment plant, The second step
is to redesign units that are has troubled and do not meet the
design criteria. From the evaluation of the existing wastewater treatment
plant, high concentration of NH3 and Phosphate are found in the
effluent, and the perfomance of wastewater treatment is not
stable (proved with the fluctuation of effluent quality). Anaerobic- aerobic biofilter that already established could not reduce
concentration of NH3 and Phosphate, and so the redesign is by
adding floculation and coagulation unit to overcome high
concentration of NH3 and Phosphate. The addition of floculation
and coagulation unit could lower the concentration of NH3 and
Phosphate as low as 0.05 mg/L and 0.7 mg/L respectively, which
comply with regulation.
