Abstract
Dalam dunia pendidikan, penyebab learning process atau
proses belajar selalu berubah. Hal itu disebabkan karena
teknologi yang terus berkembang, sehingga, tidak dapat
dipungkiri bahwa teknologi berperan penting dalam
pengembangan pendidikan. Salah satu bentuk penerapan
teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan adalah Learning Management
System (LMS). Sebuah LMS memiliki beberapa modul yang
mnegakomodasi kebutuhan lembaga pendidikan. Sayangnya,
dalam hal diskusi atau penyampaian pendapat, tool yang sudah
ada belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan diskus agar dapat
berjalan dengan efektif. Contohnya, pertanyaan peserta diskusi
terkadang tidak benar-benar terjawab atau bahkan terlalu
banyak jawaban sehingga tidak tahu jawaban mana yang paling
tepat. Beberapa orang pun jarang bergabung dalam forum untuk
bertanya atau memberikan pendapat karena tidak ada
kesimpulan atau hasil akhir diskusi.
Untuk menangani permasalahan tersebut, dalam tugas
akhir ini, sebuah Sistem Online Focus Group Discussion
dibangun.. Sistem Online Focus Group Discussion adalah salah
satu tool yang digunakan dalam menyampaikan pendapat dalam
sebuah diskusi di mana terdapat peran seorang Moderator yang
akan memimpin dan mengarahkan pembahasan diskusi, sehingga
diskusi dapat berjalan dengan efektif dan tetap dapat memenuhi
kepuasan peserta diskusi. Metode yang digunakan untuk

membangun sistem ini adalah Conceptualization yang mencakup
pedoman menjalankan Focus Group dengan tepat dan Logistic
yang mencakup kebutuhan-kebutuhan yang harus dipenuhi
sebelum diskusi berjalan. Hasil dari pengujian menunjukkan
bahwa kebutuhan-kebutuhan diskusi agar berjalan efektif sudah
terpenuhi.

In education, the cause of the learning process is always
changing. That is because the technology continues to evolve, so,
there is no doubt that technology plays an important role in the
development of education. One form of the application of
technology in education is the Learning Management System
(LMS). An LMS has several modules that mnegakomodasi needs
of educational institutions. Unfortunately, in terms of the
discussion or the delivery of the opinion, the existing tools can
not meet the needs of the disc in order to be effective. For
example, the question participants sometimes do not really
missed, or even too many answers that do not know the answer to
which one is most appropriate. Some people rarely join forums to
ask questions or give opinions because there is no conclusion or
the end result of discussion.
To address these problems, in this thesis, a Focus Group
Discussion Online System is built. Online Focus Group
Discussion System is one of the tools used in presenting their
opinions in a discussion in which there is a role of a moderator
who will lead and direct discussion of the discussion, so that the
discussion can be carried out effectively and still be able to meet
the satisfaction of participants. The method used to build this
system is the conceptualization that includes guidelines for
running a Focus Group with appropriate and Logistic which
covers the needs that must be met before the discussion runs. The

results of the testing showed that the discussion needs to be run
effectively been met.
