Abstract
Insitut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) sebagai salah
satu universitas terbaik di Indonesia telah menggunakan website
sebagai sarana publikasi. ITS menyediakan domain yang
disediakan untuk jurusan ITS dalam membangun website. Dalam
membangun website, jurusan ITS melakukannya sendiri tanpa
adanya acuan. Hal ini menyebabkan website jurusan ITS terlihat
tidak terstandar. Website jurusan ITS yang tidak terstandar
menyebabkan pengguna kesulitan dalam mencari informasi sejenis
di website yang berbeda.
Untuk meningkatkan kualitas website jurusan ITS, ITS
perlu memiliki standar konten untuk website jurusan ITS. Konten
pada website jurusan ITS sebaiknya juga memiliki aksesbilitas
yang baik. Konten website yang memiliki aksesbilitas yang baik
dapat memudahkan pengguna dalam mengoperasikan website.
WCAG 2.0 merupakan acuan yang dapat digunakan dalam
membuat konten website dengan aksesbilitias yang baik. WCAG
2.0 dikembangkan oleh World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) pada
tahun 2008. Dalam WCAG 2.0 mencakup pembuatan konten agar
website mudah diakses bahkan untuk orang dengan disabilitas.

Selain itu ITS juga perlu meningkatkan status nya sebagai
World Class University (WCU). Dimana saat ini ITS menempati
peringkat 21 di salah satu sistem pemeringkatan dunia, yaitu
Webometrics. Webometrics merupakan sistem pemeringkatan
Perguruan Tinggi berdasarkan pada pemanfaatan teknologi dan
komunikasi.
Permasalahan yang akan diselesaikan pada penelitian ini
adalah pembuatan rekomendasi konten website jurusan ITS
berdasarkan WCAG 2.0 dan Webometrics. Rekomendasi konten
website jurusan ITS ini akan dijadikan acuan untuk jurusan ITS
dalam membuat website.
Hasil akhir dari penelitian adalah daftar konten yang
dapat meningkatkan peringkat Webometrics dan sesuai dengan
WCAG 2.0, contoh website jurusan ITS menggunakan tool Wix,
dan user guide konten website jurusan ITS

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) as one of the
best institution in Indonesia has used the website as a means of
publication. ITS provides a domain that reserved for Departement
in building websites. This departement build the websites without
any reference. This situation causes the units’ websites looks not
standarized. Website Department of ITS that are not standardized
cause users difficulty in finding similar information in different
websites.
To improve the quality of a website Department of ITS, ITS
needs to have a standard website content for ITS department. It
should have a good accessibility which can facilitate the users to
easily operate the website. WCAG 2.0 is a reference that can be
used to create a website content with good accessibility. WCAG 2.0
is developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in 2008.
WCAG 2.0 include creating content for a website is easily
accessible even to people with disabilities.
Moreover ITS also needs to improve its status as a World Class
University (WCU). ITS currently ranks 21th in one of the world

ranking system, the Webometrics. Webometrics is a ranking system
of universities based on the use of technology and communication.
Issues to be resolved in this research is the development of
recommendations departement website content based on WCAG
2.0 and Webometrics. This recommendations will be a reference to
the departement in ITS to making a website.
The end result of the study is a list of content that can increase the
ranking of Webometrics and correspond with WCAG 2.0 ,
prototype design work units majors ITS website using Wix tool and
user guide website content department in ITS
