Abstract

Masyarakat dan penjual durian saat ini membuka buah
durian masih secara manual yaitu dengan pisau potong dan
dipegang oleh tangan, sehingga berpotensi terlukanya tangan.
Alternatif untuk meningkatkan keamanan serta efisiensi tenaga untuk
proses pembelahan yaitu dengan merancang alat pembelah durian
menggunakan sistem power screw dan electric motor.
Pembuatan alat pembelah durian ini dirancang melalui
beberapa tahapan, mulai dari observasi bagaimana proses
pembelahan buah durian, kemudian melakukan perencanaan dan
perhitungan gaya dan daya yang akan dibutuhkan serta elemenelemen
mesin yang digunakan, dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan alat
pembelah durian.
Hasil perancangan dan perhitungan alat, dibutuhkan daya
sebesar 250 watt dengan putaran 195 rpm dengan deameter power
screw 12 mm untuk menekan buah durian serta menghasilkan
kapasitas 1 menit per buah.

Community and durian seller today open a durian fruit still
manually, with a knife cut and held by the hands, so the potential
injury of the hand. Alternatives to improve security and energy
efficiency for the division process is to devise means of dividing
durian power system using screw and electric motors.
Making the durian splitter tool is designed through several
stages, from the observation of how the division process durian fruit,
then do the planning and calculation of force and power that will be
needed as well as machine elements are used, followed by splitting
tool making durian.
The result of design and calculation tools, needed a power
of 250 watts with a round of 195 rpm with a 12 mm screw deameter
power to suppress the durian fruit and produce capacity of 1 minute
each.
