Abstract

Heat Exchanger is an important facility in the petroleum industry that serves to keep the temperature of the fluid output in the form of crude oil production. Crude oil temperature greatly affect the efficiency of the separation of oil and water in the downstream and associated with the consumption of chemicals. The problems faced by the company is a pressure control valve (PCV) opened manually by the operator to the appropriate temperature set point of crude oil, as well as leveltemperature cascade control does not work well because the crude oil can't reach the set point. So in this research, which represents the mathematical modeling of plant processes in the field using Ziegler- Nichols tuning method. In a study conducted simulation feedback control steam pressure and temperature cascade-level so that the needs of steam to heat the crude oil can be offset by the control system. Pressure feedback control system using a type PI control with a value of settling time 300 second, IAE 406.5 and maximum overshoot 0%. In the cascade control, condensate steam drum level control acts as a secondary loop with PI control mode settling time obtained at 314.59 second, IAE 132.1 and maximum overshoot 28.38%, and the main loop temperature control on the heat exchanger, with the best control mode is PI mode with a value of settling time 284.94 second, IAE 42.3 and maximum overshoot 1.42%. ================================================================================================= Heat Exchanger adalah fasilitas penting pada industri perminyakan yang berfungsi untuk menjaga temperatur keluaran fluida produksi yang berupa crude oil. Temperatur crude oil sangat berpengaruh terhadap efisiensi separasi minyak dan air di bagian hilir dan berkaitan dengan konsumsi bahan kimia. Permasalahan yang dihadapai perusahaan adalah pressure control valve (PCV) dibuka secara manual oleh operator agar temperatur crude oil sesuai set point, serta pengendalian cascade leveltemperatur tidak bekerja dengan baik karena crude oil tidak dapat mencapai set point. Maka dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pemodelan matematis yang merepresentasikan plant proses di lapangan dengan menggunakan metode penalaan Zieglers-Nichols. Dalam penelitian dilakukan simulasi pengendalian umpan balik tekanan steam dan cascade level-temperatur sehingga kebutuhan steam untuk memanaskan crude oil dapat diimbangi oleh sistem pengendalian tersebut. Sistem pengendalian umpan balik tekanan menggunakan tipe kontrol PI dengan nilai settling time sebesar 300 detik, IAE sebesar 406,5 dan maximum overshoot sebesar 0%. Pada pengendalian cascade, pengendalian level steam condensate drum berperan sebagai loop sekunder dengan mode kontrol PI didapatkan settling time sebesar 314.59 detik, IAE sebesar 132.1 dan maximum overshoot sebesar 28.38 %, dan loop utama yaitu pengendalian temperatur pada heat exchanger, dengan mode kontrol yang paling baik adalah mode PI dengan nilai settling time sebesar 284,94 detik, IAE sebesar 42,3 dan maximum overshoot sebesar 1,42%.
