Abstract
Moringa oleifera merupakan tanaman yang berpotensi
tinggi untuk dikembangkan dalam sektor industri seperti
industri farmasi karena kandungan senyawa fenolnya yang
tinggi.
suspensi sel M. oleifera Total asam fenol tertinggi
terdapat pada asam salisilat 1 ppm 1,6067± 0,458 ppm
dan fenilalanin 5 ppm 1,60 ± 0,37 ppm.
==============================================================================================================
Moringa oleifera is a plant that has high potential to
be developed in industrial sectors such as the pharmaceutical
industry because of the high content of phenol compounds.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of
salicylic acid as elicitor and phenylalanine as a precursor to
the total content of phenolic acids in cell suspension cultures
of M. oleifera.
The research design used was RAL (completely
randomized design) with 3 replications. Test parameters the
estimation of the total phenolic acids compounds using UVVis
spectrophotometer and the dry weight of salicylic acid and
phenylalanine treatment. The result were analyzed by oneway
ANOVA and Tukey test.
The results showed that varying concentration of
salicylic acid and phenylalanine affect the increase of the total
content of phenolic acids in cell suspension cultures of M.
oleifera. The highest total phenolic acids contained at
concentration of salicylic acid 1 ppm was 1.6067 ± 0.458 ppm
and phenylalanine 5 ppm was 1,60 ± 0.37 ppm
