Abstract

Logam berat timbal (Pb) merupakan pencemar logam
berat utama di semua lingkungan dan sumber utama
pencemaran tanah karena cenderung terakumulasi dalam tanah.
Timbal ketika mencemari tanah, akan bertahan lama
dibandingkan dengan kebanyakan polutan lainnya karena
mempunyai kelarutan yang rendah, akan tetapi timbal dapat
diikat oleh agen pengkelat (glomalin) yang disekresikan oleh
mikroorganisme yaitu fungi mikoriza sehingga dapat diserap
oleh fungi dan tanaman. Mikoriza merupakan bentuk simbiosis
mutualismes antara fungi dengan perakaran tanaman. Oleh
karena itu, salah satu pilihan untuk mengatasi pencemaran
timbal yaitu dengan menggunakan tanaman sebagai agen
remediasi (fitoremediasi) dan dipercepat dengan mikoriza
Glomus sp. yang dapat membantu dalam penyerapan dan
akumulasi Pb di akar tanaman sengon.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui akumulasi
logam Pb pada perakaran tanaman sengon (P. falcataria (L.)
Nielsen) yang terinfeksi mikoriza Glomus sp. serta pertumbuhan
tanaman P. falcataria dalam media tercemar logam berat Pb.
Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 perlakuan dosis mikoriza yaitu 0
gram mikoriza tanpa Pb (kontrol negatif), 0 gram mikoriza
dengan Pb (kontrol positif), 25 gram mikoriza+Pb, 50 gram
mikoriza+Pb, 75 gram mikoriza+Pb dan dilakukan dengan 4
ulangan pada masing-masing perlakuan. Masing-masing tanaman diberi penambahan Pb(NO3)2 dalam media tanam
sebanyak 833 mg/kg. Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi
tanaman, panjang akar, berat kering tanaman dan akumulasi Pb
di akar tanaman sengon.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis 75 gram
mikoriza Glomus sp. merupakan dosis yang paling berpengaruh
terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sengon yang ditumbuhkan pada
media tanam yang mengandung logam Pb pada parameter tinggi
tanaman dengan nilai 77,5 cm, berat kering yaitu 17,86 gram dan
panjang akar yaitu 31,5 cm. Penambahan dosis 25, 50, 75 gram
Glomus sp. juga meningkatkan penyerapan serta akumulasi
logam Pb pada akar tanaman sengon dengan nilai masingmasing
yaitu 2,25 ppm, 3,49 ppm dan 3,60 ppm.

Heavy metal lead is one of the main pollutan in almost of
environment and also well known as a main pollutant in soil,
since its were excellently accumulated in soil. Lead in soil will
remain in long time, since its have a low solubility and relatively
free from microorganisms degradation. Howevwr of lead can be
fastened by an glomalin that is secreted by microoganisms is
mycorrhizal fungi so that can be absorbed by fungi and plant.
Mycorrhizal is a symbiotic mutualismes of fungi with rooting
plants. Hence, one option to overcome lead pollution that is by
using plants as phytoremediation agent and accelerated by
mychorrhizal Glomus sp. which can assist in the absorption and
accumulation of Pb in roots of sengon.
The purposes to know the accumulated lead on plant rooting
sengon (P. falcataria (L.) Nielsen) infected with Glomus sp.
mycorrhiza and plant growth of (P. falcataria (L.) Nielsen) in
heavy metal lead contaminated media. This research used five
variations of the mycorrhizal doses with replications, i.e. 0 gram
of mycorrhizae without Pb (negative control), 0 grams of
mycorrhizae with Pb (positive control), 25 grams of mycorrhizae
with Pb, 50 grams of mycorrhizae with Pb, 75 grams of
mycorrhizae with Pb. Every plant which has been given a dose of
mycorrhizae also given Pb(NO3)2 in the medium as much as 833
mg / kg. The observed parameters i.e. heigth plant, roots length,
and plant dry weight. The results showed that 75 gram dose of mycorrhizal Glomus
sp. was the most effect on the growth of sengon plant with
parameters of plant’s height with a value of 77,5 cm, roots length
of 31,5 cm and plant’s dry weight of 17,86 grams. The addition
25, 50 and 75 Grams dose of mycorrhizal Glomus sp. also
increased the absorption and accumulation of Pb in the roots
sengon (P. falcataria), with the value of each 2,25 ppm, 3,49 ppm
and 3,60 ppm.
