Abstract

Tangisan adalah media komunikasi bagi bayi untuk mengutarakan keinginannya kepada pengasuh bayi atau ibunya. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya telah mengungkapkan, bahwa tangisan bayi mengandung informasi penting yang dapat menunjukkan kondisi fisik atau psikis dari bayi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan karakteristik tangis bayi berdasarkan fitur akustik, seperti frekuensi dasar, frekuensi formant dan parameter prosody. STRAIGHT merupakan metode estimasi frekuensi dasar yang paling akurat jika dibandingkan dengan metode lainnya. Untuk data suara tangis, dilakukan perekaman pada 10 bayi (1-11 bulan) dengan kondisi lapar, tidak nyaman dan mengantuk menurut prespektif ibunya. Hasil analisa didapatkan nilai F0 pada ketiga kondisi tidak jauh berbeda, tangisan bayi lapar (193Hz-644Hz), tidak nyaman (188Hz-668Hz), dan mengantuk (209Hz-625Hz). Analisa frekuensi formant pada tangisan bayi menggunakan metode LPC berhasil diestimasi berdasarkan tingkat frekuensinya namun nilai ini belum dapat merepresentasikan perbedaan setiap kondisi tangisan. Sedangkan untuk analisa fitur dinamik, pola tangisan setiap kondisi dapat dibedakan melalui hasil estimasi nilai ΔF0 dan Δ2F0. Kedua parameter tersebut menunjukkan perbedaan pada nilai perubahan frekuensi serta perubahan fasa gelombang yang terjadi pada sinyal tangisan.

Infant cry is media for babies to communicate and express their urges to their mother or babycares. From the previous research, we know that infant cry provides important information about its physical and physiological condition. The objective of this final project is to characterize infant cry based on acoustic feature, such as fundamental frequency, formant frequency and prosody. STRAIGHT is the best method for robust estimated of fundamental frequency. For data collection 10 infants (1-11 months old) were recruited, and the crying sound recorded for 3 conditions, namely hungry, sleepy, and uncomfortable according to mother’s perspective. The result of F0 (Fundamental frequency) of all crying types are not much different, the F0 of hungry condition is spanned from 193Hz to 644Hz, uncomfortable babies is spanned from 188Hz to 668Hz, and the sleepy cry is spanned from 209Hz to 625Hz.. The formant frequency successfully estimated using LPC methods based on the level of frequency, but this value cannot represent differences in each crying condition. As for the analysis of dynamic features, a pattern of crying every condition can be distinguished through the estimation value ΔF0 and Δ2F0. Both of these parameters showed differences in the value of the frequency and phase changes that occur in the waveform.
