Abstract
Perairan Bintan memiliki sumberdaya pesisir dan laut
yang sangat potensial untuk wisata bahari dan kehidupan biota
laut. Akan tetapi, adanya kegiatan manusia seperti penambangan,
pembuangan limbah rumah tangga akan memberikan dampak
negatif terhadap penurunan kualitas perairan dan sumberdaya
pesisir. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi kualitas perairan pada
badan air pada setiap bentang lahan adalah padatan tersuspensi
dan kecerahan. Pengetahuan mengenai karakteristik lingkungan
perairan laut yang dicerminkan oleh nilai konsentrasi beberapa
parameter kualitas air, baik secara fisika maupun kimia sangat
diperlukan dalam melakukan pengendalian pencemaran perairan.
Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan untuk
Pendugaan pencemaran air laut adalah penginderaan jauh
menggunakan citra satelit Landsat 8. Hal ini dikarenakan citra
Landsat-8 dapat bekerja pada gelombang tampak dan terdapat
kanal-kanal yang dapat digunakan untuk mengekstrak parameter
kualitas air laut. Dalam pendugaan pencemaran air laut digunakan
algoritma Parwati dan algoritma Tarigan untuk menentukan nilai
TSS dan kecerahan.
Kondisi parameter kualitas air laut di Perairan Bintan
masih berada pada kondisi normal sesuai dengan Keputusan Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup No 51 Tahun 2004. Sebaran
konsentrasi TSS di Perairan Bintan memiliki rentang nilai 0-45
mg/l, sedangkan sebaran kecerahan Perairan Bintan memiliki
rentang nilai 3-6 meter. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap
parameter kualitas air laut di perairan Bintan, disimpulkan
wilayah perairan Bintan tidak mengalami pencemaran.

Bintan waters have coastal and ocean resources are very
potential for marine tourism and marine life. However, the
existence of human activities such as mining, household waste
disposal will give negative impact on decreasing the quality of the
waters and coastal resources. The main factors that affect the
quality of the waters on a body of water on each span of land
were suspended solids and transparency. Knowledge of the
characteristics of the aquatic environment of the sea reflected by
the value of the concentrations of several water quality
parameters, either in physics or chemistry is indispensable in
controlling the pollution of the waters.
In this research, the methods used for the Prediction of
water pollution of the sea is a remote sensing using satellite
images Landsat 8. This is because the image of Landsat-8 can
work on the wave looks and there are several channels that can
be used to extract the parameters the quality of sea water. In sea
water pollution prediction used Parwati algorithm and Tarigan
algorithm to determine values of TSS and transparency.
The condition of the sea water quality parameters in
Bintan Waters is still under normal conditions in accordance with
the decision of the Minister of State for the environment No. 51 in 2004. TSS concentration distribution in Bintan Waters has a
range of values from 0 to 45 g/m3, whereas the distribution of
transparency value ranges having Bintan Waters 3-6 metres.
Based on the results of the analysis of sea water quality
parameters in the waters of Bintan, Bintan waters region
concluded it does not suffer the pollution.
