Abstract
Pulau Lombok sudah dikenal dengan sebutan sister of bali, banyak yang mengatakan kita
dapat menemukan bali di lombok namun kita tidak bisa menemukan lombok di bali. Dengan
potensi alam yang masih belum tersentuh, banyak pihak yang berlomba-lomba
mengembangkan potensi-potensi wisata yang masih tersembunyi tersebut. Salah satunya
rencana pengembangan kawasan wisata terpadu mandalika. Proyek dengan luas lahan sekitar
1000 hektar ini direncanakan akan dibangun berbagai fasilitas super mewah dengan skala
nasional bahkan internasional seperti hotel, villa, perumahan mewah dan fasilitas penunjang
lainnya dengan harapan dapat membantu pendapaan daerah.
Namun semua fasilitas mewah itu akan terlihat berlebihan dan kurang tepat sasaran jika
dilihat dari aktivitas dan pelaku aktivitas yang ada. Berdasarkan aktivitas, potensi dan
beberapa masalah yang terdapat di lokasi ini. peran arsitektur dibutuhkan untuk mewujudkan
objek yang dapat mewadahi seluruh kegiatan yang terjadi dan menyelesaikan beberapa
masalah yang ada. Dengan mengangkat aspek lokalitas sebagai pendakatan dalam mendesain
dimana unsur lokalitas merupakan salah satu potensi yang menonjol dari berbagai potensi
yang ada. Diharapan fasilitas yang dibangun sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat setempat
maupun pengunjung dan tetap sejalan dengan tujuan dikembangkannya kawasan ini yaitu
menambah pendapatan daerah. ========== Lombok island has been known as the sister of Bali, many say we can find Bali in Lombok,
but we can’t find Lombok in Bali. With natural potential that is still untapped, many parties
are trying to develop the tourism potentials that are still hidden. One of which is an integrated
tourism area development plan, Mandalika. Projects with an area about 1000 hectares of land
is planned to be built super luxurious facilities in various national and even international scale
such as hotels, villas, luxury housings and other supporting facilities in hopes of increasing
local income.
However, all the luxury facilities will appear redundant and not right on target when seen
from the activities and the existing activities’ subject. Based on the activities, potentials and
some of the issues in this location. The role of architecture is required to create an object that
can accommodate all existing activities and resolve some of the problems that exist. By
raising the aspects of locality as an approach in the design, in which the locality is the
potential that stands out of the existing potential. In conclusion, this object is expected to suit
the needs of the local community as well as the visitors and remain in harmony with the aims
of the development of this region which adds local income.
