Abstract

Dalam dunia fabrikasi penggunaan teknologi pengelasan sering dijumpai di berbagai aplikasi pengelasan konstruksi, pengelasan perkapalan, rangka kendaraan (chassis), rel kereta api, pipa gas dan lain sebagainya. Pengelasan memiliki prosedur dan tahapan-tahapan yang harus dipenuhi sebelum melakukan proses penyambungan. Namun pada pelaksanaannya hasil dari pengelasan sering ditemukan adanya welding defect, maka dari itu dibutuhkan evaluasi terhadap pengendalian mutu. Salah satu tool yang digunakan untuk membantu pengendalian kualitas adalah menggunakan metode Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Penggunaan FMEA mampu mengidentifikasi risiko kegagalan yang terjadi selama proses produksi pada pengelasan kombinasi. Dan yang tidak kalah penting dari mengidentifikasi risiko kegagalan adalah perhitungan nilai ekonomis dari pengelasan kombinasi. Pada laporan ini akan didapatkan resiko kegagalan terbesar dalam nilai RPN (Risk Priority Number) maupun perbandingan faktor yang mempengaruhi dari welding defect. Selain itu pada laporan akan didapatkan besarnya nilai ekonomis pada sambungan pipa API 5L X52 maupun perbandingan dari 2 pengelasan kombinasi yang berbeda =========================================================================================================== Recently in fabrication sector, welding technology used frequently as found in various construction welding applications, welding shipbuilding, the vehicle frame (chassis), railways, gas pipelines, and so on. The welding have some procedures and steps that have to be done before doing the connection process. However by reality in the result of the welding often found welding defect, therefore an evaluation of the quality control is required. One of the tool that can be used to help controlling the quality is by using Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA). The use of FMEA will be able to identify the risk of failures that occurred during the production process in welding combination. And nonetheless important than identifying the risk of failure is the calculation of economic value of welding combinations. Through this report book we will get the greatest risk of failure in the value of RPN (Risk Priority Number) as well as factor comparison that affecting the welding defect. Furthermore, there will be the amount of economic value to the API 5L X52 pipe connection as well as a comparison of two different combinations of welding.
