Abstract
Chevron Indonesia Company merupakan salah satu industri minyak dan
gas yang beroperasi di wilayah Kalimantan Timur. Kebutuhan material-material
Material Repair & Operation (MRO) diatur oleh departemen Supply Chain
Management. Tingginya nilai Inventory, serta nilai material yang masuk kategori
slow moving masih cukup besar maka diperlukan strategi yang tepat dalam
pengendalian dan pengontrolan persediaan suku cadang agar bisa efektif dan
efisien.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah simulasi Monte
Carlo untuk menentukan nilai-nilai parameter yang terkait dengan pengelolaan
persediaan suku cadang. Model dasar yang digunakan adalah model (R, s, S)
yaitu model base stock dengan periodic review. Langkah awal perhitungan nilai
s dan S menggunakan rumus yang mengakomodasi permintaan berdistribusi
normal. Karena sifat normalitas biasanya tidak terpenuhi, maka simulasi akan
digunakan untuk memperbaiki nilai-nilai awal yang diperoleh.
Penentuan parameter persediaan dengan simulasi Monte Carlo dan
model (R, s, S) menghasilkan suatu peramalan persediaan suku cadang di
industri minyak dan gas bumi dengan biaya persediaan yang lebih rendah serta
didapatkan service level yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kondisi
exisiting.

Chevron Indonesia Company is one of the oil and gas industry that doing
its operation on East Kalimantan area. Material needs for Material Repair &
Operation (MRO) under controlling Supply Chain Management department. The
high cost of Inventory, an also high cost for slow moving materials, it needs the
right strategy for controlling spare parts inventory to be effective and efficient.
Monte Carlo simulation to be used in the research to determine parameter
values associated with the management of spare parts inventory. The model (R,
s, S) or base stock with periodic review model to be used as the basic model.
Initially, calculation for s and S value using formula that accommodate the
demand of normal distribution. Because of normality usually not fulfilled, then
the simulation is used to improve initial values obtained.
Determination of inventory parameter with Monte Carlo simulation and
models (R, s, S) produces a forecasting inventory of spare parts in the oil and gas
industry with lower inventory cost and obtain higher service level than the
existing condition.
