Abstract

Dalam tugas akhir ini telah dilakukan kajian kekuatan struktur haluan kapal survei seismik Geomarin IV terhadap beban slamming dan greenwater. Kajian diawali dengan analisis gerakan kapal pada tiga kondisi, yaitu tanpa pengoperasian streamer serta dengan pengoperasian streamer pada kondisi pembebanan full load dan light load. Analisis gerakan pada kondisi tanpa pengoperasian streamer dilakukan dengan menggunakan software Maxsurf dan pada kondisi pengoperasian streamer dilakukan dengan menggunakan software ORCAFLEX. Hasil dari analisis gerakan kemudian digunakan untuk mendapatkan gerak relatif vertikal haluan pada titik tinjau tertentu pada daerah haluan kapal. RAO gerak relatif vertikal haluan akan ditransformasikan mejadi karakteristik di gelombang acak, yaitu dengan melakukan analisis spektra. Selanjutnya dilakukan komputasi untuk memprediksi peluang terjadinya slamming dan greenwater, intensitas terjadinya slamming dan greenwater, serta besarnya tekanan slamming pada alas haluan dan tekanan greenwater pada geladak haluan. Hasil komputasi menunjukan tekanan terbesar akibat slamming mencapai 42.34 kPa dan tekanan terbesar akibat greenwater sebesar 3.6 kPa. Berdasarkan tekanan tersebut telah dilakukan analisis kekuatan struktur haluan dan didapatkan tegangan maksimum pada struktur alas haluan sebesar 27.57 MPa dengan deformasi 0.37 mm dan tegangan maksimum pada struktur geladak haluan sebesar 95.32 MPa dengan deformasi 3.09 mm. Hasil ini masih lebih kecil jika dibandingkan dengan tegangan ijin dan deformasi yang dianjurkan oleh ABS yaitu 223.25 MPa serta BKI dengan tegangan ijin 195.83 Mpa. Dengan demikian konstruksi alas dan geladak haluan kapal survei seismik Geomarin IV aman terhadap beban slamming dan greenwater. ========================================================================================================== This final project is focused on the study about the strength of the bow structure of seismic survey vessel Geomarin IV due to slamming and greenwater loads. This analysis begins with analyzing ship motion in three conditions, namely with and without streamer of full load and light load loading condition. Motion analysis without streamer is generated by Maxsurf Motion software while the motion analysis with streamer installed is generated by time domain simulation software. The results of these analysis are then used to obtain relative vertical bow motion at reference point on the bow area of the vessel. RAO of relative vertical bow motion will be transformed to derive the characteristic in random waves, by applying the spectral analysis. Then computation is performed to predict probabilities of slamming and greenwater, occurrences of slamming and greenwater, and slamming pressure at the bottom of bow structure and greenwater pressure at the deck of bow structure. The result from computation show that the pressure due to slamming reached 42.34 kPa dan the pressure due to greenwater reached 3.6 kPa. Based on these pressures, strength analysis of the bow structure was then performed. And the result showed the maximum stress at bottom of bow structure is about 27.57 MPa with deformation 0.37 mm and the maximum stress at a deck of bow structure is about 95.32 Mpa with deformation 3.09 mm. These findings are acceptable if compared to the allowable stress from ABS and BKI which are 223.25 Mpa and 195.83 Mpa. In conclusion it could be considered that the bottom and deck construction of bow structure of Geomarin IV is safe from slamming and greenwater loads.
