Abstract
Pipeline merupakan salah satu metode yang biasa digunakan untuk mentransportasikan fluida dari satu lokasi ke lokasi lainnya. PT. JOB PERTAMINA-TALISMAN JAMBI MERANG memiliki pipeline 8,6” yang berlokasi di daerah rawa-rawa. Agar pipeline aman dari aktifitas daratan, maka pipeline tersebut dipendam di dalam tanah. Pada kasus ini pipeline mengalami upheaval buckling dan sedang akan diperbaiki dengan cara mengaplikasikan expansion loop kedalam design baru pipeline tersebut. Ukuran dari expansion loop yang akan diterapkan dalam design memiliki bentuk u-shape dengan ukuran panjang 6 m dan lebar 6 m. Sebelum design baru diaplikasikan perlu dilakukan analisa keandalan dari design baru tersebut. Analisa keandalan akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Monte Carlo, karena dalam mendesign pipeline tersebut masih terdapat variabel-variabel yang tidak pasti. Dalam analisa keandalan dengan menggunakan metode Monte Carlo diperlukan persamaan moda kegagalan yang dapat menggambarkan kapan sebuah sistem akan mengalami kegagalan. Kemudian dari moda kegagalan yang sama dapat dipilih design expansion loop yang terbaik berdasarkan keandalannya. Setelah dilakukan analisa didapatkan bahwa expansion loop dengan ukuran panjang 6 m dan lebar 4 m memiliki keandalan terbaik dengan keandalan 0,9156 atau 91,56%.

Pipeline is a methods commonly used to transport fluid from one location to another. PT. JOB PERTAMINA-TALISMAN JAMBI MERANG has a 8.6” pipeline located in a marshy area. To safe pipeline from mainland activities, then pipeline buried in the ground. This pipeline suffered upheaval buckling and was going to be fixed by applying loop expansion into pipeline new design. The size of expansion loop that will be implemented in the future has a u-shape with a length of 6 m and a width of 6 m. Reability analysis is needed before new design is applied. Reliability analysis will be using Monte Carlo method, as in the design of the pipeline there are variables that are uncertain. In Monte Carlo method there was an equation of failure mode to describe when the system is going to failure. Then from the same equation can be used to find which expansion loop have the best score in reliability. At the end of reliability analysis, expansion loop with the best score in reliability is expansion loop with a length of 6 m and a width of 4 m with reliability of 0,9156 or 91,56%
