Abstract

Jetty eksisting penahan sedimentasi di depan water intake canal Perusahaan Listrik dan Tenaga Gas dan Uap (PLTGU) Grati tidak mampu bekerja maksimal sehingga harus dilakukan pengerukan setiap tahun. Untuk itulah, dibangun struktur perpanjangan jetty baru agar sedimentasi di dekat kanal bisa berkurang. Layout jetty perpanjangan telah diteliti oleh Atikasari (2015). Karena jetty perpanjangan dibangun di kedalaman yang berbeda dengan kondisi eksisting, maka dilakukan analisa beban gelombang pada dinding vertikal struktur perpanjangan jetty. Dalam penelitian ini, analisa beban gelombang dilakukan dengan membandingkan dua metode yaitu metode Minikin dan Goda. Berdasarkan hasil analisa, metode Minikin menghasilkan gaya dan tekanan gelombang yang jauh lebih besar daripada Goda. Penulis menggunakan beberapa rekomendasi dari penelitian sebelumnya untuk menentukan metode perhitungan beban gelombang yang sesuai dengan kondisi di lokasi pembangunan struktur perpanjangan jetty PLTGU Grati. Berdasarkan hasil analisa, struktur perpanjangan jetty PLTGU Grati berada pada dasar laut yang bervariasi dan mengalami overtopping, sehingga metode Minikin lebih sesuai digunakan. Karakteristik gelombang yang mulai pecah tepat di depan struktur juga sesuai dengan asumsi Minikin. Selain itu, struktur perpanjangan jetty PLTGU Grati termasuk bangunan rigid sehingga penggunaan metode Minikin lebih dianjurkan. ========================================================================================================= The existing sedimentation retaining jetty in front of the water intake canal of Perusahaan Listrik Tenaga Gas dan Uap (PLTGU) Grati is not able to work optimally, so the company must dredge that location every year. For that, a new jetty extension structure must be built to reduce sedimentation near the canal. The layout of jetty extension structure has been investigated by Atikasari (2015). Due to the extension of the jetty built at different depths with the existing condition, then the wave load analysis on vertical wall of new structure is needed. In this study, the wave load analysis is done by comparing the two methods by Minikin (1963) and Goda (1974). Based on this analysis, the Minikin method generate larger value of wave loads than Goda. The author uses some of the recommendations from previous studies to determine the method of calculation of wave loads according to conditions at the jetty extension construction site of PLTGU Grati. Based on this analysis, the structure of jetty extension of PLTGU Grati is built at varying seabed (m≥0) and overtopping is occured, so the Minikin method more suitable. Characteristics of the wave that starts to break directly in front of the structure is also consistent with the Minikin’s assumption. In addition, the jetty extension structure of PLTGU Grati is a rigid construction, so that the use of Minikin method more recommended.
