Abstract
Kapal tongkang yaitu suatu jenis kapal yang berbentuk datar
pada bagian lambungnya. Aktivitas pelayaran kapal barge
adalah antar pulau.Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan logistik antar
pulau, maka terdapat inovasi untuk merubah kapal tongkang
menjadi kapal pengangkut container. Oleh karena itu diperlukan
kajian teknis untuk menganalisa kebutuhan secara teknis dalam
merubah kapal tongkang menjadi kapal container. Dari
perhitungan yang dilakukan di dapatkan hasil bahwa, kapal
container mampu memuat 60 container. Dengan besar daya main
engine 610 kw dan menggunakan propeller B5 – 90 yang
mempunyai effisiensi 0,554. Hasil dari perhitungan stabilitas
kapal ialah periode waktu oleng kapal ialah 6,3 detik dan kriteria
stabilitas kapal yang di anjurkan IMO, semua dapat diterima

Barge is a type of ship that it has flat relatively . Activities barge
cruise ship is intraland .The needs of the logistics distributions
between the islands, hence there are innovations to convert the
barge to be container ship type . It is therefore necessary
technical studies to analyze technical requirements in converting
barges into a container ship . From calculations result shows that
redesigned, container ships able to carry 60 containers . The
need power of 610 kw and design propeller B5 - 90 which it has
efficiency of 0,554 . The results of the calculation of the stability
of the ship show that the ship roll period of time is 6.3 seconds
and all criteria for ship stability recommended by IMO , are
acceptable.
