Abstract

Transient recovery voltage (TRV) merupakan tegangan yang muncul pada sela kontak circuit breaker (pemutus tenaga) selama proses interupsi berlangsung. Selama proses interupsi, busur api terjadi secara terus-menerus hingga gelombang arus mencapai nol. Dalam beberapa mikro detik setelahnya, arus berhenti mengalir dan muncullah fenomena TRV. Proses interupsi dikatakan berhasil jika circuit breaker mampu bertahan terhadap keberadaan TRV dan tegangan pemulihan frekuensi daya. Tugas akhir ini akan membahas mengenai pengaruh beberapa jenis pentanahan pada transformator daya tegangan tinggi terhadap TRV pada circuit breaker akibat switching beban induktif. Rangkaian sistem gardu induk dan sistem-sistem pentanahannya dimodelkan dan disimulasikan menggunakan perangkat lunak komputer. Hasil dari simulasi akan dianalisis untuk didapatkan pengaruh dari jenis pentanahan pada transformator daya tegangan tinggi terhadap karakteristik TRV yang terjadi. Sehingga, harapannya tugas akhir ini dapat digunakan sebagai pertimbangan dalam mendesain jenis pentanahan pada transformator tegangan tinggi. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini menunjukkan bahwa konfigurasi sistem pentanahan yang aman diaplikasikan pada transformator daya tegangan tinggi adalah Solid – Resistance dengan nilai resistansi ≥ 40 Ω.

Transient recovery voltage (TRV) is a voltage that occurs on the circuit breaker contact during the interruption process. During the interruption process, arcs occur continuously until the current wave reaches zero. Within a few micro seconds after that, the current stops flowing and the TRV phenomenon appears. The breaking operation will be successful if the circuit breaker is able to withstand the TRV and the power frequency recovery voltage. This final project will discuss the effect of several types of grounding on high voltage power transformers to TRV on circuit breakers due to inductive load switching. The series of substations and grounding systems are modeled and simulated using computer software. The results of the simulation will be analyzed to obtain the effect of grounding type on the high voltage power transformer on the TRV characteristics that occur. Hopefully, this final project could be used as a consideration in designing the type of grounding in high voltage transformers. The results of this final project show that a secure earth system configuration applied to high voltage power transformers is Solid - Resistance with a resistance value ≥ 40 Ω.
