Abstract

sistem kelistrikan setiap pabrik.
biasanya berupa arus short circuit.
VICO
Indonesia unit operasi Mutiara setelah dilakukan penambahan generator
sebesar 480 kW. Apabila kapasitas peralatan-peralatan proteksinya masih

Protection system is an inportant thing for electrical systems in every
factory. That protection system must be able to work fast, appropriately,
selective, and economic so that protection equipments can secure other
equipments from fault that occured and the factory can operate well. The
fault that ocurred usually is short circuit current. Therefore, short circuit
study is needed on this protection coordination analysis. Besides, Load
flow analysis is also needed for support protection coordination analysis.
The purpose of this final project is to know the condition of protection
equipments on PT. VICO Indonesia operating unit Mutiara after the
addition of 480 kW generator. If the protection equipments capacity still
can secure fault that ocurred, so we need to check the protection
equipments setting what that equipments have been worked properly and
right coordinated. When analyzing the existing condition, the system can
modeled with ETAP 12.6.0. Then, we do the short circuit analysis at every
bus and check protection coordination when the fault ocurred. In
protection coordination analysis, we make some tipicals to ease the
coordination of each protection equipment. Current and time setting must
be according to the prevailing standard so that coordination can run well.
