Abstract

PT. Betts Indonesia merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi laminate tube baik berbahan dasar alumunium maupun plastik. Komponen-komponen dari laminate tube terdiri dari cap, shoulder, dan body tube. Selama ini pengendalian kualitas di PT. Betts Indonesia dilakukan oleh divisi Quality Assurance (QA) secara deskriptif yaitu dengan cara membandingkan hasil produksi dan spesifikasi yang telah ditentukan. Jenis cacat yang mungkin terjadi berdasarkan karakteristik kualitas variabel yaitu tube length, diameter tube, dan print position. Namun, 70% jenis cacat yang terjadi pada tube Ponds WBFF 100 gram adalah tube length. Sampai saat ini perusahaan belum pernah melakukan analisis kapabilitas proses dan hanya menyajikan persentase produk cacat dalam bentuk grafik, sehingga belum diketahui apakah hasil proses produksi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan sudah kapabel atau belum. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengendalian kualitas dengan menggunakan kapabilitas proses yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks kapabilitas berdasarkan variabel tube length. Dengan menggunakan peta kendali dan peta kendali s diperoleh hasil bahwa proses terkendali secara statistik pada fase I (Januari 2019) maupun fase II (Februari 2019) dan indeks kapabilitas Pp dan Ppk pada fase I sebesar 0,91 dan 0,77, sedangkan indeks Pp dan Ppk pada fase II sebesar 1,03 dan 0,75 menunjukkan bahwa proses tidak kapabel.

PT. Betts Indonesia is a manufacturing company that manufactures laminate tubes made from both aluminum and plastic. The components of the laminate tube consist of a cap, shoulder, and body tube. So far, quality control at PT. Betts Indonesia is carried out by a Quality Assurance (QA) division descriptively by comparing production results and specified specifications. The types of defects that may occur based on variable quality characteristics are tube length, tube diameter, and print position. However, 70% of the types of defects that occur in the tube Ponds WBFF 100 gram are tube length. Until now the company has never done a process capability analysis and only presents a percentage of defective products in graphical form, so it is not yet known whether the results of the production process carried out by the company are capable or not. This research was conducted to analyze quality control by using process capability which aims to determine the capability index based on tube length variables. Using the control chart and control chart s, the results show that the process is statistically controlled in phase I (January 2019) or phase II (February 2019) and the capability index of Pp and Ppk in phase I is 0.91 and 0.77, while and the capability index of Pp and Ppk in phase II is 1.03 and 0.75 shows that the process is not capable.
