Abstract
Sungai Manten merupakan sungai yang hulunya secara administratif berada di Kecamatan Tewang Sanggalang Garing, Kabupaten Katingan, Kalimantan Tengah. Sungai ini memiliki panjang 38 km dengan lebar sungai 10-20 meter dan luas DAS sebesar 136,75 km2 . Namun pada kenyataannya pemanfaatan Sungai ini masih belum optimal, dikarenakan penggunaannnya hanya sebatas untuk keperluan bercocok tanam dan sedikit untuk konsumsi air sehari-hari penduduk yang bertempat tinggal dibantaran sungai. Sedangkan, pemanfaatan air berskala besar belum ada, padahal bila dilihat dengan luas DAS yang ada, Sungai Manten sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan pemanfaatannya baik untuk keperluan air baku maupun untuk keperluan air irigasi Maka dari itu pada tugas akhir ini dibahas tentang optimasi pemanfaatan air irigasi dan kebutuhan air baku di Sungai Manten. Untuk optimasi Sungai Manten , hal-hal yang harus dilakukan adalah analisis hidrologi, analisis klimatologi, melakukan perhitungan debit andalan Sungai Manten. Setelah itu, dilakukan analisis kebutuhan air irigasi, kebutuhan air irigasi sesuai dengan pola tanam. Pola tanam ditentukan dengan merancang alternatif-alternatif pola tanam, lalu menganalisis dengan program linier yaitu program bantu POM-Quantity Methods for Windows. Untuk kebutuhan air baku, dilakukan proyeksi jumlah penduduk dan jumlah kebutuhan air baku daerah setempat. Output dari perhitungan ini adalah memperoleh pola tanam dan kebutuhan air baku yang memiliki keuntungan paling besar berdasarkan jenis tanaman dan musim tanam yang ditentukan. Kemudian, membandingkan ketersedian air dengan kebutuhan air Sungai Manten dengan analisis Water Balance. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dari 6 alternatif yang telah direncanakan diperoleh keuntungan paling optimum pada masa awal tanam Nopember II, dengan total harga jual pertanian dan air baku sebesar Rp 166.453.262.945,08

Manten River is administratively located at Tewang Sanggalang Garing District, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan. The length of the main river is 38 km, with a river width about 10-20 m and the drainage basin area is 136,75 km2. However, the water utilization in the river is not optimal yet, because its use is limited to the need for farming and a little for daily water consumption of residents who live along the river. Meanwhile, large-scale water utilization does not exist, but with this existing drainage basin area, the Manten River has the potential to be developed as a source for Water Supply and irrigation. Due to these problems, it is necessary to have an optimization study of the Manten River for the utilization of irrigation, and Water Supply. For the optimization of the Manten River it begin with hydrological analysis, climatological analysis, performing reliable calculation of the Manten River discharge. After that, an analysis of irrigation carried out by analyzing existing data related to the area of land and the topography of the irrigation area, the analysis also consider the cropping patterns. Cropping patterns are determined by designing some cropping pattern alternatives, then analyzing with a linear programs, POM-Quantity Methods for Windows program. For Water Supply, begin with calculating a projection of the population and the amount of water needs in the local area. The goal of this calculation is to obtain the optimal cropping patterns and its standard water requirements which give the greatest benefit based on the type of crop and the specified planting season. Furthermore, compare the availability of water with the irrigation and water requirments of the Manten River using the Water Balance analysis. The result of the optimization, based on the calculation of the 6 alternatives,shows that the optimum profit is obtained in the early planting period of 2nd November , with a total selling price of agriculture and Water Supply of Rp 166.453.262.945,08
