Abstract
Seiring dengan berkurangnya ketersediaan bahan bakar fosil, maka sangat penting adanya pengembangan energi terbarukan dan pemanfaatan energi terbuang. Menurut Lei Zuo dalam penelitiannya menyatakan bahwa hanya 10-16% energi bahan bakar yang benar-benar digunakan untuk mendorong kendaraan maju. Beberapa bagian mobil yang lain dapat dipanen energinya adalah suspensi, crankshaft, rem, dan melalui panel surya di atap kendaraan. Pada bagian suspensi, sebagian besar energi terbuang sia-sia akibat kondisi jalan yang berglombang, gesekan dan pembuangan panas. Guna meningkatkan efisiensi kendaraan, maka diciptakanlah alat pemanen energi (energy harvester) yang memanfaatkan gerak translasi naik-turun pada suspensi. Pada tugas akhir ini, dilakukan perancangan, pembuatan dan eksperimen sebuah RSA model ball-screw dengan spur gear pada suspensi kendaraan pick-up untuk memanfaatkan energi terbuang pada bagian suspensi dengan cara memanfaatkan gerak translasi naik-turun pada suspensi. Selanjutnya gerakan ini dikonversi menjadi gerak rotasi satu arah melalui roda gigi spur gear yang dilengkapi dengan one-way clutch untuk menggerakkan generator sehingga generator menghasilkan listrik yang kemudian dapat disimpan untuk keperluan kendaraan. Sistem ini nantinya dilakukan pengujian pada kendaraan pick-up untuk mengetahui lebih jauh bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan RSA terhadap respon badan kendaraan pick-up. Dengan variasi kecepatan yaitu 10 km/jam, 15 km/jam, dan 20 km/jam pada saat melewati polisi tidur dan speedtrap. Kemudian dengan variasi kecepatan 10 km/jam, 20 km/jam, dan 30 km/jam pada saat melewati jalan paving dan jalan aspal. Kemudian didapatkan grafik respon dinamis kendaraan dan grafik daya bangkitan RSA. Pada penelitian ini, telah dirancang dan direalisasikan BSRSA spur gear yang kemudain dilakukan pengujian menggunakan pick-up. BSRSA spur gear mampu menghasilkan RMS daya maksimum sebesar 2.87 W pada saat melewati speedtrap denga kecepatan 30 km/jam. Respon percepatan terbesar BSRSA spur gear yaitu 2.432 m/s2 terjadi pada saat melewati polisi tidur dengan kecepatan 30 km/jam dan terkecil yaitu 0.053 m/s2 saat melewati jalan aspal dengan kecepatan 10 km/jam.

As fossil fuels decrease, it is very important the existence of renewable energy and the use of wasted energy. According to Lei Zuo in his research stated that only 10-16% of fuel energy is really used to push the vehicle forward. Some other parts of the car that can be harvested with energy are suspension, crankshaft, brakes, and solar panels on the roof of the vehicle. In the suspension system, most of the energy is wasted due to profile road conditions, friction and heat dissipation. In order to improve the efficiency of the vehicle, an energy harvester (energy harvester) was created which utilizes the up and down translational motion of the suspension. In this final project, design, manufacture and trial of the RSA ball-screw model with spur gear on a pick-up vehicle to utilize the wasted energy in the suspension by utilizing the up and down translational motion of the suspension. Furthermore, this movement was issued a new direction of movement through the gears equipped with one-way clutch to drive the generator so the generator generates electricity which can be used for vehicle purposes. RSA conducts testing on pick-up vehicles to find out more about how RSA works to pick-up in body responses. With variations in speed of 10 km / h, 15 km / h, and 20 km / h when passing through speed bumps and speedtraps. Then with variations in speed of 10 km / hour, 20 km / hour, and 30 km / hour when passing through paving and asphalt roads. Then the vehicle dynamic response graph and RSA power generation graph are obtained. In this research, BSRSA Spur Gear has designed and realized then tested using pick-up. The BSRSA spur gear produces a maximum power RMS of 2.87 W when passing a speedtrap with a speed of 30 km / hour. The largest acceleration response of BSRSA spur gear that is 2,432 m / s2 occurs when passing through speed bumps at a speed of 30 km / hour and smallest is 0.053 m / s2 when passing asphalt roads at a speed of 10 km / hour.
