Abstract

Jaringan distribusi pada umumnya berjenis radial dan terhubung pada sumber terpusat melalui jaringan transmisi. Arah aliran daya pada jaringan ini berawal dari sumber menuju beban pada jaringan distribusi. Beberapa tahun terakhir, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik yang meningkat, pembangkit terdistribusi atau distributed generation (DG) digunakan pada jaringan. Meskipun pemasangan unit DG memiliki banyak keuntungan, beberapa kerugian masih bisa ditemukan khususnya pada sistem pengaman jaringan. Pemasangan DG akan berdampak pada level gangguan arus hubung singkat, menyebabkan hilangnya koordinasi antar rele. Pada tugas akhir ini, pengaruh dari pemasangan unit DG terhadap arus gangguan dan koordinasi rele arus lebih atau over current relay (OC) akan diteliti. Besar dan arah dari arus hubung singkat pada jaringan akan dianalisa tanpa dan dengan unit DG. Dengan mengubah besar dan lokasi unit DG, kerja rele OC berdasarkan arah arus hubung singkat akan dievaluasi.

Distribution networks are generally a radial type and connected to a centralized source through a transmission network. The direction of load flow on this network starts from the source to the load on the distribution network. In recent years, to meet the increasing electricity needs, distributed generation (DG) is used on the network. Although the installation of DG units has many advantages, some disadvantages can still be found, especially in network protection systems. DG installation will have an impact on the level of short circuit current, causing loss of coordination between relays. In this final project, the impact of the DG unit installation on fault current and over current relay (OC) coordination will be examined. The magnitude and direction of the short circuit current in the network will be analyzed with and without the DG unit. By changing the DG unit size and location, OC relay work based on short-circuit current direction will be evaluated.
