Abstract

Budaya keselamatan dikenal luas karena kemampuannya merangkum semua faktor termasuk persepsi, psikologi, sikap dan manajerial yang digunakan sebagai salah satu peran penting yang diprioritaskan oleh organisasi dalam keselamatan. Kemampuan ini berfungsi sebagai peran penting bagi organisasi dalam keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Selanjutnya, kemampuan ini digunakan sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi risiko kecelakaan. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah mencari hubungan antara 8 (delapan) variabel budaya keselamatan yaitu commitment, leadership, responsibility, competence, engagement & involvement, information & communication, risk dan organizational learning. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur safety culture maturity level area produksi perusahaan baja, memodelkan hubungan 8 variabel budaya keselamatan dengan menggunakan metode SEM-PLS, serta menyusun alur perbaikan tingkat kematangan budaya keselamatan dengan safety model canvasing. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dengan purposive sample kepada 107 pekerja. Hasil penilaian tingkat kematangan safety culture pada area produksi perusahaan baja didapatkan nilai sebesar 3,665 dengan kategori proactive. Pada analisis model persamaan struktural menunjukkan bahwa variabel leadership tidak memiliki hubungan yang positif terhadap organizational learning sedangkan 8 hipotesa lainnya memiliki hubungan positif antar variabelnya. Agar budaya keselamatan pada area produksi perusahaan baja menjadi lebih baik, maka dilakukan penyusunan perbaikan dengan safety model canvasing. Peningkatan budaya keselamatan dengan safety model canvasing menunjukkan alur perbaikan sebagai rekomendasi teknis mulai dari variabel leadership, commitment, competence, risk, organizational learning, responsibility, engagement & involvement, dan information & communication dengan memprioritaskan rekomendasi dari variabel leadership dimana pemimpin dijadikan sebagai role model bagi pekerjanya.

Safety culture is widely known for its ability to encapsulate all factors including perception, psychology, attitude and managerial which are used as one of the important roles prioritized by organizations in safety. This ability serves as an important role for organizations in occupational safety and health. Furthermore, this ability is used as an effort to reduce the risk of accidents. One of the efforts made is to find a relationship between 8 (eight) safety culture variables, namely commitment, leadership, responsibility, competence, engagement & involvement, information & communication, risk and organizational learning. The purpose of this study was to measure the safety culture maturity level of the steel company's production area, to model the relationship between 8 variables of safety culture using the SEM-PLS method, and to arrange the flow of improvement of the maturity level of safety culture with safety model canvasing. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires with purposive samples to 107 workers. The results of the assessment of the safety culture maturity level in the steel company production area obtained a value of 3.665 with the proactive category. The structural equation model analysis shows that the leadership variable does not have a positive relationship with organizational learning while the other 8 hypotheses have a positive relationship between the variables. In order to make the safety culture in the steel company's production area better, an improvement was made with the safety model canvasing. Improving safety culture with safety model canvasing shows the flow of improvement as technical recommendations ranging from leadership, commitment, competence, risk, organizational learning, responsibility, engagement & involvement, and information & communication variables by prioritizing recommendations from leadership variables where leaders are used as role models for the workers.
