Abstract
Dengan estimasi umur pabrik 10 tahun, dapat diketahui internal rate of return (IRR) sebesar 39,3%, pay out time (POT) 5 tahun dan break even point (BEP) sebesar 23,24%.

Indonesia has the second longest coastline in the world and three quarters of Indonesia's territory is sea water. This potential can be utilized as one of the basic ingredients of salt commodity production. According to its function, one type of salt is industrial salt, which has a level of NaCl of at least 97% (dry basis). The use of industrial salt is intended as a raw material or additional material for the needs of other industries, such as the textile, pharmaceutical, and so on. The high need for industrial salt every year which is still imported from abroad is the background of the establishment of an industrial salt factory. The process of making industrial salt is divided into 3 process stages, namely pretreatment and refining of raw materials, cooking, and drying and control of industrial salt products. Pretreatment phase aims to eliminate impuritis in seawater which can interfere with the next process using the sedimentation process. The cooking phase aims to remove water and it is expected that the product will come out in the form of a wet crystal. The drying process is carried out to obtain industrial salt crystal products with 99.6% NaCl content. The plant is planned to operate in 2023. Based on data from imports, consumption, production which continues to increase, an estimated plant capacity of 75,000 tons / year is obtained. For this reason, seawater raw material is needed, which is 329,615,202 kg / hour. v The location of the plant construction is planned in Kalianget Subdistrict, Sumenep Regency, Madura. An industrial salt factory is a limited liability company with a line and staff organization system. To be able to set up an industrial salt factory with a capacity of 75,000 tons / year, a total investment capital of Rp 289,134,495,235 is required, and a total production cost of Rp 128,420,085,269, with an estimated sales proceeds of Rp. 318,330,000,000 per year. With an estimated factory life of 10 years, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 39.3%, pay-out time (POT) of 5 years and break even point (BEP) of 23.24% can be seen.
