Abstract

Outer West Ring Road (OWRR) is one of many roads that designed for solving some traffic problems in Suraaya, it has 19,8 km length and 55 m width that connected Lakasantri and Romokaliasri. OWRR or JLLB has two kind of constructions, girder bridge and slab on pile. The bridge construction is built crossing the housing, roads, and even railway; the NSPT of soil is medium. Slab on pile is built crossing the rice field; the NSPT of soil is low. OWRR is most likely important, because of that the construction need some alternatives that is more efficient, ideal, dan safe from the condition of soil. Besides, the study location is the approach from bridge to girder or otherwise, the construction is need more attention for its overall stability of embankment o the abutment.
From the analysis, the settlement that happens at the approach of the bridge is very significant and caused differential settlement in the future. Because of that condistions, the settlement needs to be eliminated with preloading of surcharge method or vacuum combined with vertical drain. Soil capacity of clay is very low, so the reinforcement is needed too. After the preloading and reinforcement are designed, the most ideal and efficient altervative can be choosen and will be compared to slab on pile. From the material costs, non-slope embankment that designed with preloading with vacuum method and freyssisol for the reinforcement is the most ideal and efficient than the other embankment alternatives. The choosen embankment alternative is more ideal and efficient than slab on pile. For the abutment, the existing design can be used even though the slab on pile is replaced to embankment construction.
