Abstract

Indonesia merupakan kontributor sampah plastik ke laut terbesar kedua di dunia, setelah Tiongkok, dengan estimasi 0,48–1,29 juta metrik ton per tahun. Sampah plastik tidak dapat terurai dengan cepat. Sehingga, hal ini akan berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Disisi lain, program pemerintah mengenai pembangunan infrastruktur di tahun 2019 masih terus berjalan. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah memerlukan solusi alternatif dalam pembangunan agar penggunaan bahan yang ada menjadi lebih efisien. Penelitian ini menggunakan limbah LDPE. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode basah, dimana LDPE ditambahkan ketika keadaan aspal dipanaskan dan dicampur sampai dengan homogen. Material yang digunakan meliputi aspal pen 60/70 dan agregat ukuran 10-10, 5-10, dan 0-5. Variasi kadar LDPE yaitu 0%- 10% dengan interval 2. Variasi kadar aspal yaitu 5,4%, 5,9%, 6,4%, 6,9%, dan 7,4%. Tahapan dalam penelitian yang akan dilakukan meliputi : uji material, cek spesifikasi , menghitung kadar aspal optimum (KAO), pengujian penambahan LDPE, penentuan kadar plastik optimum. Setiap kadar aspal dan kadar plastik dibuat 5 sampel benda uji. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian marshall didapatkan nilai KAO 6,7 % dan kadar plastik optimum 3 %. Dari hasil pengujian marshall campuran plastik didapatkan bahwa density dan VFA mengalami penurunan sedangkan flow, Marshall Quotient,VIM, dan VMA mengalami peningkatan. Stabilitas meningkat sampai 20% sebesar 1858,82 Kg. Dari pengujian karakteristik aspal LDPE didapatkan hasil berat jenis, daktilitas , kehilangan berat, dan penetrasi menurun sedangkan titik nyala dan titik lembek meningkat seiring kadar plastik bertambah. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan sudah memenuhi spesifikasi umum binamarga 2018.

So, this will have a negative impact on the environment. On the other side, government programs related to infrastructure development in 2019 are still going on. Therefore, the government needs alternative solutions in development so that the use of available materials becomes more efficient. This research uses LDPE waste. The method used in this research is the wet method, where LDPE is added when the asphalt is heated and mixed until homogeneous. Materials used include asphalt pen 60/70 and aggregate size is 10-10, 5-10, and 0-5. Variation of LDPE content is 0% - 10% with interval 2. Variation of LDPE asphalt content is 5,4%, 5,9 %, 6,4%, 6,9%, and 7,4%. Stages in the research that will be carried out include: material testing, checking specifications, calculating the optimum asphalt content (KAO), testing the addition of LDPE, determining the optimum plastic content. For each asphalt content and plastic content, 5 samples were made. Based on Marshall testing results obtained KAO value of 6,7% and optimum plastic content of 3%. From the results of the marshall plastic mixture test it was found that the density and VFA decreased while flow, Marshall Quotient, VIM, and VMA increased. Stability increased to 20% by 1858,82 kg. From the testing characteristics of LDPE asphalt, the specific gravity, ductility, weight loss, and penetration decreased while the flash point and softening point increased as the plastic content increased. From the results of research conducted, it has met the 2018 binamarga general specifications.
