Abstract

Estimasi umur pabrik 10 tahun, sehingga dapat diketahui internal rate of return (IRR) sebesar 24,41%, pay out time (POT) 3,89 tahun dan break even point (BEP) sebesar 27%.

In the midst of this strong current of globalization, the sugar industry is demanded to be more competitive in the face of increasingly fierce competition. The large increase in fuel prices adds to the burden of sugar factories that use fuel as an additional fuel. In the sugar cane industry, besides producing sugar as the main product, side products are also produced in the form of bagasse which has not been used optimally. . This sugar cane byproduct is a biomass that has a large potential for utilization to be converted into energy so that the sugar industry is able to become an industry that supplies its own energy (self-sufficiency energy). The Bagasse Power Plant was built in 2021 and will start operating in 2023. The plant is planned to operate continuously 24 hours for 300 days per year of operation with a planned capacity of 54,000 kg bagasse / on season and 54,000 kg bagasse / off season to produce 107.3 MW of electricity during on season and off season and 269 tons of steam / on season to meet the energy needs of electricity and steam sugar factories. The location of the factory construction is planned in Gempolkrep in Gedeg Subdistrict, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. To be able to set up factories requires a total capital of Rp 2,248,438,848,558. Estimated factory life is 10 years, so it can be seen that the internal rate of return (IRR) is 24.41%, pay out time (POT) is 3.89 years and break even point (BEP) is 27%.
