Abstract
sekitarnya. Fenomena UHI sudah terjadi di kota-kota dunia
termasuk Kota Surabaya. Konversi lahan tak terbangun menjadi
lahan terbangun diduga menyebabkan fenomena UHI tersebut.
Oleh karenanya penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui
pengaruh tutupan lahan terhadap suhu permukaan Kota
Surabaya.Untuk itu, penelitian ini menguji hubungan antara
tutupan lahan, Normalized Difference Built-up Index (NDBI),
Dibandingkan tahun 2001, wilayah sebaran suhu tinggi (> 30 oC)
berupa permukiman maupun industri-pergudangan. Berdasarkan
================================================================================ Urban Heat Island (UHI) is a global phenomenon where a
city or a metropolitan area is significantly warmer than its
surrounding rural area. Land conversion into a built-up area
supposedly is one of the main cause of UHI phenomenon. The
purpose of this research is to identify the impact of land cover
change on Surabaya’s surface temperature by conducting a test to
check the correlation between land cover, Normalized Difference
Built-up Index (NDBI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index
(NDVI), dan Land Surface Temperature (LST) from landsat
imagery data of 2001 and 2015 using correlation and regression
analysis. The result shows that for fourteen years, between 2001
and 2015, LST in Surabaya has been increased for about 3 oC.
Compared to 2001, in 2015, high-temperature area (> 30 oC) has
been expanded for about 19.523,61 Ha in various locations in
Surabaya. The increasing temperature is parallel with the built-up
area expansion, both for industrial or housing necessities.
According to the analysis, LST has been significantly affected by
NDBI, with coefficient of determination (R2) is 0,72 (in 2001) and
0,653 (in 2015)
