Abstract

The impact of the phenomenon of the use of container transport will be felt by the service user. With the increase in tariffs per container, which tends to be unstable, the price of the unit load rises. The high logistics costs that must be spent causes the price per unit of an item to become uncontrollable. The uncertainties of many cargo transported per voyage make the tariffs applied are also unstable. The purpose of the study is to predict the cost of each unit and the size of container shipping services based on changes in demand and the distance of shipping routes. Analyzing the relationship between the carrying capacity and frequency of the gross revenue of a shipping company. The optimization method is used to obtain the size and cost per unit with certain conditions. The results of the current conditions are written with the equation Biaya Satuan saat ini →y = 2E+06x(-0,342) (R² = 0,238) explaining the current tariff conditions are not yet optimum. This model produces the cost line equation per unit for Container Transport Petikemas →y = 1E+09x(-0,759) (R² = 0,8634) and the cost line equation per unit for SPCB transport SPCB →y = 6E+07x(-0,59) (R² = 0,8234). The model also produces equations for the size of container transport capacity y = 2E-05x + 94.444 (R2 = 0.943) and for the size of the SPCB transport capacity y = 3E-05x + 57.662 (R2 = 0.997) Sensitivity analysis of Load Factor and current vessel operating patterns this. Minimum Load factor Surabaya - Banjarmasin 76% Suarabaya - Ambon 54% and Surabaya - Serui 48%. This pattern of operation can reduce the cost per unit of Ambon destination by 50% and Serui destination by 63% with a load factor of 100% and certain other conditions.
