Abstract

Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (CPR) is a number that indicates total couples of childbearing age who are using contraception. According to World Population Data Sheet in 2019, Indonesia is a country which has the most population among ASEAN countries. This Research is is conducted using Spline Truncated Nonparametric Regression. This is caused by the formed pattern between predictor variables and response variables do not follow certain patterns. Based on the most minimum value of GCV, the best model is using knot point combination (3,3,3). The result of testing the significance of parameters shows that all the variables used in the research have a significant effect on the percentage of CPR in South Sulawesi. The variables used in this research are total poor population, percentage of population with last education ≤ Senior High School, and percentage of BPJS. Based on the result of testing residual assumptions, it can be concluded that all assumptions are fulfilled with the coefficient of determination from this model is same as 83,175%.
