Abstract

Kapal ro – ro yang dioperasikan di Indonesia rata – rata berumur diatas 20 tahun. Begitupun juga kapal Ro –ro yang melayani lintasan Merak – Bakauheni didominasi oleh kapal yang berumur diatas 20 tahun atau 79% dari total kapal. Berdasarkan kajian kinerja kapal dari Departemen Transportasi Negara Bagian Amerika, dimana semakin tua umur kapal keandalan akan berkurang, konsumsi bahan bakar akan meningkat, dan perlu adanya perawatan yang lebih. Tujuan Tugas Akhir ini untuk menganalisis kinerja operasional kapal terhadap umur kapal serta cara untuk mengoptimalkan keuntungan kapal dan perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah membandingkan antara total biaya transportasi kapal, nilai investasi dan kelayakan investasi. Biaya operasional rata – rata per tahun untuk kapal tua KMP Jatra II sebesar Rp 12.5 miliar atau 1,3 kali lipat dibandingkan kapal muda. Biaya perbaikan dan perawatan rata – rata per tahun kapal tua KMP Jatra II Rp 5.54 miliar atau 1,5 kali lipat dibandingkan kapal muda. Biaya pelayaran rata – rata per tahun kapal tua KMP Jatra II Rp 30.40 miliar atau 1,2 kali lipat dibandingkan kapal muda. Biaya total transportasi rata – rata per tahun kapal tua KMP Jatra II Rp 48.48 miliar atau 1,3 kali lipat dibandingkan kapal muda. Analisis kelayakan kapal tua KMP Jatra II menghasilkan NPV sebesar Rp 178 juta dan BCR 1,00, sedangkan kapal muda KMP Portlink V NPV Rp 3.95 miliar dan BCR 1,01. Untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan kapal tua KMP Jatra II, load factor rata – rata minimal dalam satu tahun untuk penumpang 15% dan untuk kendaraan 72%. =================================================================================================================================
The age of Ro-ro ships operating in Indonesia is mostly over 20 years old. 79% Ro -ro ships which serving Merak - Bakauheni crossing line are over 20 years old. Based on a study of ship performance from the US State Department of Transportation, as the ship's age increases, reliability will decrease, fuel consumption will increase, and require more intensive maintenance. The purpose of this Final Project is to analyze the operational performance of ships against the age of the ship and how to optimize the profits of the ship and the company. The method wihich used in this final project is comparison between the total cost of ship transportation with the investment value and investment feasibility. The average operating cost for MV Jatra II (old ship) is Rp 12.53 billion (1.3 times compared to young ship). The average repair and maintance cost for MV Jatra II (old ship) is Rp 5.54 billion (1.5 times compared to young ship). The average voyage cost for MV Jatra II (old ship) is Rp 30.40 billion (1.2 times compared to young ship). The average of total transportation cost for MV Jatra II (old ship) is Rp 48.48 billion or (1.3 times compared to young ship). The result of feasibility study for MV Jatra II (old ship) is NPV Rp 178 million and BCR 1.00, otherwise MV Portlink V (young ship) show NPV Rp 3.95 billion and BCR 1.01. To maximize the profits of MV Jatra II (old ship) average minimum load factor in one year for passengers 15% and for vehicles 72%.
