Abstract

Memasuki usia remaja, seorang anak akan mulai terlepas secara emosional dengan keluarganya, sehingga lingkungan paling mudah mempengaruhi perkembangan remaja, salah satunya sekolah di mana remaja banyak menghabiskan waktunya dibandingkan dengan rumah akibat dari system full-day school. Hal ini berarti juga bahwa sekolah merupakan lingkaran sosial utama remaja. Sayangnya, sekolah juga dapat menjadi stressor bagi mental remaja. Kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dengan sistem full day saat ini menuntut kerja
otak secara terus menurus, sehingga dibutuhkan kondisi psikis yang baik agar tidak menggangu produktifitas serta perkembangan remaja. Hubungan sosial juga sangat berpengaruh pada kondisi mental remaja karena secara emosional mereka lebih terikat dan fokus pada hubungan sebaya. Sistem full-day dan juga padatnya kegiatan akibat kurikulum mengakibatkan kurangnya interaksi sosial remaja. Sehingga, dibutuhkan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakter remaja saat ini atau generasi Z agar kegiatan pembelajaran berjalann dengan optimal. Metode pembelajaran experiential dianggap sesuai dengan karakter remaja genersi Z. Metode pembelajaran tersebut membentuk kegiatan pembelajaran yang aktif dan tidak hanya terpusat pada ruang kelas dan juga ceramah, melainkan diskusi dan eksplorasi oleh siswa. Melalui pendekatan arsitektur dan perilaku, Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang suatu Sekolah Menegah Pertama dengan kondisi spasial dan lingkungan yang mampu menjaga kondisi kerja otak remaja selama kegiatan pembelajaran yang padat dan panjang serta mengoptimalkan hasil dari full-day school. Selain itu, melalui metode rancang programmatic writing, perancangan akan membentuk pengembangan program sekolah berdasarkan kebutuhan experiential learning melalui pendekeatan perilaku belajar.

Entering the age of adolescence, a child will begin to be emotionally separated from his family, so that the environment most easily influences adolescent development, one of which is a school where teenagers spend more time compared to home due to the full-day school system. This also means that schools are the main social circle of adolescents. Unfortunately, school can also be a stressor for teen mentality. Learning activities in schools with a full day system currently requires continuous brain work, so that psychological conditions are needed that can interfere with the productivity and development of adolescents. Social relationships are also very influential on adolescent mental states because emotionally they are more bound and focused on peer relationships. The full-day system and also the dense activities due to the curriculum result in a lack of social interaction among adolescents. So, it takes learning methods that are appropriate to the current character of teenagers or generation Z so that learning activities run optimally. Experiential learning methods are considered to be in accordance with the character of teenager Z generation. These learning methods form active learning activities and are not only centered on classrooms and lectures, but also discussion and exploration by students. Through an architectural and behavioral approach, this final project aims to design a school with spatial and environmental conditions that are able to maintain the working conditions of the adolescent brain during solid and long learning activities and optimize the results of full day school. In addition, through the programmatic writing design method, the design will form an understanding of learning patterns based on experiential learning and the character of generation Z youth to be used in the development of junior high school programs with a fullday system.
