Abstract

Pelaksanaan pelatihan keselamatan kerja di galangan kapal dilakukan untuk memberi pengetahuan tentang pentingnya keselamatan kerja pada karyawan, namun dalam pelaksanaannya pelatihan keselamatan kerja membutuhkan material habis pakai seperti APAR dalam jumlah banyak yang menyebabkan tingginya biaya pelatihan serta menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang aplikasi simulasi keselamatan kerja berbasis teknologi VR (virtual reality) untuk memberikan pengalaman secara imersif pada pelatihan keselamatan kerja dan mengurangi biaya pelatihan. Pada tahap studi literatur yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan bahwa penerapan teknologi VR dalam pelatihan ini memerlukan dua perangkat utama yaitu HMD (Head-Mounted Display) dan controller. Observasi dilakukan terhadap pelatihan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja konvensional pada galangan kapal dan lembaga pelatihan. Penelitian ini hanya menyimulasikan pelatihan penggunaan APAR, firedrill, dan observasi risiko terhadap ruang terbatas dari sepuluh topik pelatihan keselamatan kerja berdasarkan observasi yang telah dilakukan. Dalam pengembangannya digunakan software seperti Inventor, Microsoft Visual Studio, dan Unity. Setelah dilakukan simulasi keselamatan kerja pada karyawan galangan kapal dilakukan perhitungan rekapitulasi pre-test dan post-test yang dilakukan secara tertulis terhadap lima responden dan didapatkan hasil bahwa pelatihan keselamatan kerja menggunakan VR dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan teori keselamatan kerja peserta pelatihan sebesar 14,05%. Total biaya investasi yang dibutuhkan untuk pembuatan aplikasi sebesar dan biaya peralatan sebesar Rp 24.043.667. Biaya yang tereduksi antara pelatihan kesematan kerja senilai Rp 193.889.154,88 atau 68,13% dari pelatihan keselamatan kerja konvensional.

The implementation of occupational safety training in shipyards is conducted to provide knowledge on the importance of occupational safety for its employees, but in the implementation of occupational safety training requires consumables such as Portable Fire Extinguishers (PFE) in amount that causes the rising cost of training and creates environmental pollution. The purpose of this research is to design an occupational safety simulation application based on VR (virtual reality) to provide an immersive experience to occupational safety training and reduce training costs. At the stage of the literature study, it was obtained that the application of VR technology in this training requires two main devices there are HMD (Head-Mounted Display) and controller. Observations were made to the training of conventional occupational safety and health at shipyards and training institutes. This research only simulates training on the use of PFE, firedrill, and risk observation on confined space from the ten topics of occupational safety training based on observations that have been undertaken. In its development, software such as Inventor, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Unity were used. After safety simulations of the shipyard employees was conducted, the calculation result of paper based pre-test and post-test carried out to five respondents states that occupational safety training uses VR can improve the work safety theory knowledge of training participants by 14.05%. The Total cost of investment required for the development of the applications and equipment costs is Rp 24,043,667. The reduced cost of training in work is worth Rp 193,889,154.88 or 68.13% of conventional occupational safety training.
