Abstract

Kebutuhan para pengguna Jembatan Suramadu akan adanya tempat beristirahat sejenak membutuhkan rest area yang sesuai standar dan layak memenuhi syarat dengan tidak mengesampingkan perilaku pengguna yang telah ada. Suatu rest area yang baik harus dapat memfasilitasi kebutuhan-kebutuhan para pengguna yang beristirahat berdasarkan hasil pengamatan serta evaluasi desain yang berbasis tingkat kepuasan pengguna dengan memperhatikan analisa perilaku dan kebutuhan para pengguna selama di perjalanan. Di dalam menganalisa perilaku yang perlu diperhatikan adalah bagaimana orang menggunakan elemen arsitektur secara pribadi, berpasangan, kelompok kecil, dan kelompok besar. Apa saja yang mereka lakukan, bagaimana aktifitas saling berkait, apa pengaruhnya terhadap pengguna, dan bagaimana elemen fisik itu berpengaruh terhadap kegiatan. Proses perancangan rest area melewati tiga tahapan, yaitu: (1) tahap pengumpulan data, (2) tahap analisis dan sintesis, dan (3) tahap konsep perancangan. Faktor waktu berhenti yang terbatas bagi pengguna rest area menuntut kemudahan akses dan kejelasan orientasi bagi para pengguna. Organisasi fasilitas - fasilitas yang terdapat pada tempat peristirahatan dengan memperhatikan hubungan dan kedekatan antar fasilitas, kemudahan akses dan pencapaian, aktifitas serta besaran kelompok pengunjung yang datang.

The need for resting for Suramadu Bridge’s users requires a standard and adequate rest area without disturbing other users. A good rest area which can facilitate the need of the users who need a resting place should be based on the result of an observable and evaluated design according to the users satisfaction by paying attention to the analysis on their behavior and need, while they are on the road. In analyzing the users behavior, it is necessary to consider how they use the architectural elements individually, in pairs, in small groups, and in large groups. It is also necessary to consider what they do, the interrelationship of their activities, how these activities can influence them, and how these physical elements influence these activities. The process of designing a rest area has some stages: (1) data collecting, (2) analysis and synthesis, and (3) structural design concept. The time factor of stopping which is very limited for the rest are users needs some facilities of the access and clear orientation for them. The organize facilities in the rest area should consider the relation and distance among the facilities, the access and destination of the facility, activity and the number of the users who stop at the rest area.
