Abstract

Pembangunan kapal patroli umumnya menggunakan material alumunium. Namun,aluminium memiliki kekurangan seperti harga material yang tinggi dan membutuhkan treatment khusus pada proses fabrikasi. Material steel hot dip galvanized dapat dijadikan material alternatif karena memiliki ketahanan korosi yang sama baiknya dengan material aluminium, tidak memerlukan treatment khusus pada proses pekerjaannya, dan memiliki harga yang lebih ekonomis dibandingkan dengan aluminium. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjadikan steel hot dip galvanized sebagai material pembangunan kapal patroli. Perlu diketahui apakah material steel hot dip galvanized memenuhi standar BKI Volume V, Rules for Materials sebagai material pembangun kapal. Kemudian, dilakukan perancangan konstruksi kapal patroli steel hot dip galvanized dengan acuan konstruksi kapal patroli aluminium. Material steel hot dip galvanized kemudian di analisa secara teknis dan ekonomis dalam proses pembangunan kapal patroli dengan perbandingan pembangunan kapal patroli aluminium. Pada pengujian tarik material steel hot dip galvanized, didapatkan nilai yield strength sebesar 334,77 MPa, Nilai Tensile Strength sebesar 460,27 MPa, dan Nilai Elongation sebesar 30,47%. Hasil uji impact didapatkan nilai sebesar 139 Joule. Hasil pengujian material menunjukkan bahwa material steel hot dip galvanized memenuhi standar BKI. Pada perancangan konstruksi kapal dengan standar BKI Volume III, Rules for High Speed Craft kapal steel hot dip galvanized memiliki ukuran konstruksi yang lebih kecil karena perbedaan nilai faktor material. Pada pembangunan kapal aluminium, metode pengelasan yang digunakan adalah Tungsten Inert Gas sedangkan kapal steel hot dip galvanized menggunakan metode pengelasan shield metal arc welding. Pada proses pengecatan, kapal steel hot dip galvanized menggunakan cat epoxy polyamide sebagai lapisan primer dan cat aliphatic polyurethanes sebagai lapisan top coat. Secara ekonomis, biaya pembangunan kapal patroli aluminium sebesar Rp 2.389.522.500 dan biaya pembangunan kapal patroli material steel hot dip galvanized sebesar Rp 1.774.878.000. Pembangunan kapal steel hot dip galvanized memiliki presentase harga yang lebih ekonomis sebesar 25,73% dengan selisih harga sebesar Rp 614.644.500.

Patrol boat development generally use aluminium as construction material. However, aluminum has disadvantages such as high material prices and requires special treatment in the ship building process. Hot dip galvanized steel material can be used as an alternative material because it has the same corrosion resistance as aluminum material, does not require special treatment in the work process, and has a lower economic value compared to aluminum. Therefore, research was conducted with the aim of making steel hot dip galvanized as a patrol boat construction material. First, it is necessary to know whether the hot dip galvanized steel material meets the BKI Volume V standard, Rules for Materials as ship building material. Then, a hot dip galvanized steel patrol boat construction is carried out with reference to aluminum patrol boat construction. Hot dip galvanized steel material is then analyzed technically and economically in the process of building a patrol boat with a comparison of aluminum patrol boat construction. In tensile testing, hot dip galvanized steel yield strength value is 334.77 MPa, tensile strength value is 460.27 MPa, and elongation value is 30.47%. Impact test results obtained an impact value of 139 Joules. These results meet technical requirements according to BKI standards. In the design of patrol boat construction with BKI Volume III standards, Rules for High Speed Craft obtained hot dip galvanized steel ships have smaller construction sizes due to differences in material factor values. In the process of building aluminum vessels using the tungsten inert gas welding method while steel hot dip galvanized vessels use the shield metal arc welding method. In the painting process, hot dip galvanized steel vessels use epoxy polyamid paint as a primary layer and aliphatic polyurethanes paint as a top coat layer. Economically, the cost of building an aluminum patrol boat is Rp 2,389,522,500 and the construction cost of a hot dip galvanized steel material patrol boat is Rp 1,774,878,000. The construction of hot dip galvanized steel vessels has a more economical price percentage of 25.73% with a price difference of Rp 614,644,500.
