Abstract

The Port of Sorong is the gateway to West Papua Province and a stopover city and is also a center for industry, trade and services, because it is surrounded by the Hinterland port which has potential natural resources. In Government Regulation Number 31 of 2016, Sorong is designated as the first Special Economic Zone in Papua. Based on its potential, Sorong SEZ is developed on the basis of shipyard, agro industry, mining and logistics industry activities. This Final Project aims to analyze the port development planning with dynamic demand. The calculation results show that the capacity of the port that meets dynamic demand is the dock capacity of 446,320 TEUs/year, stacking capacity of 420,758 TEUs/year, passenger terminal capacity of 1,216,667 people/year. The results showed the development of a container berth of 214 x 30 meters (6,420 m2) with a total cost of Rp. 111,82 bilions, the development of a container yard of 110 x 30 meters (3,300 m2) with a total cost of Rp. 152,99 bilions, the development of a 2,500 m2 passenger terminal with a total cost of Rp. 55,4 bilions, the addition of loading and unloading equipment needs, namely 1 unit of Container Crane and 1 unit of RTG.
