Abstract

Banyak daerah di Indonesia yang dikelompokan kedalam tingkat kegempaan sedang sampai tinggi, dengan demikian pemilihan metode perancangan, permodelan, dan analisis gedung tahan gempa menjadi penting. Umumnya konsep desain perhitungan, berbasis gaya force based design (FBD), dimana konsep ini menganalisis berdasarkan kondisi elastis gedung. Namun ada metode lain, menggunakan performance based design (PBD) menganalisis gedung hingga mencapai keadaan inelastik-nya, dengan konsep substitute structure yang diwujudkan dalam penggunaan parameter efektif, serta daktilitas dan equivalent viscous damping. Perpindahan leleh yang pertama dalam proses iterasinya, digunakan di metode ini. Karena peluang kondisi tersebut diatas, penulis melakukan perbandingan desain terhadap gedung Hotel Patra Cirebon menggunakan dua metode, yaitu metode FBD dan PBD. Hasil perancangan dimensi struktur dari kedua metode juga dibandingkan untuk mengetahui metode mana yang lebih efisien dari segi penggunaan material struktur.

Many regions in Indonesia which is considered as regions with moderate to high earthquake level. Thus, method selection of designing, modelling, and analyzing of earthquake resistant building would be essential. Generally the concept of design, calculations style force-based design (FBD), where this concept analyzes elastic based on the conditions in the building. But there are other methods, using performance-based design (PBD) analyze the building to reach the state inelastic, the substitute structure that has occurred in the use of parameter effective, and ductility and equivalent viscous damping. Displacement melting iterating first in the process, used in this method. Because of the condition of opportunities mentioned above, the writer did side-by-side comparisons on the building's design hotel Patra Cirebon used two methods, which is a method of FBD and PBD. The results of the design of dimensions structure of both a method of also compared to know which method that is more efficient in terms of the use of structure material.
