Abstract

In the past decade, many researchers have addressed the negative influences of the cultural difference on the construction projects, due to the differences in
ethnic, cities, gender, or national culture of the team members. Therefore, in this study the influenced variables by the cultural difference in the construction project
will be identified and analyze how these influences could impact the project performance, the influenced variables by the cultural difference in the knowledge sharing activities will be also identified and analyze how these differences may impact the project performance, also the influenced variables by the cultural difference in the knowledge sharing by using the information system will be identified and analyze how these differences may impact the project performance. To reach the goal of the study a survey questionnaire is assembled to gather the needed information or data. From the collected data the influenced variables by the cultural differences are identified. The system dynamics is developed in this study to analyze how the influenced variables by the cultural differences could impact the project performance by developing a causal model simulating in the systemdynamics modeling. The simulation result of the system dynamics has proven that the influenced variables by the cultural difference in the construction project impact
negatively the project performance. The finding result of the system dynamics also stated the influenced variables by the cultural difference in knowledge sharing activities impact negatively the project performance. The information system is used to increase the knowledge sharing in the construction project. However the simulation result stated the influenced variables by the cultural difference in knowledge sharing by using the information system impact negatively the project performance, the increase was only slight under the influences of the cultural differences. For this reason, it is obvious the needs of coming out with a special information system capable of solving the influences of the cultural difference on influenced variables in the knowledge sharing by using the information system. Therefore, professional construction knowledge-sharing mobile phone application system is designed and developed to resolve the influences of the cultural difference
on influenced variables in knowledge sharing by using the information system. The model validation indicated that the professional construction knowledge-sharing mobile phone application is able to overcome the influences of the cultural difference on effected variables in the knowledge sharing by using the information system. The result of the model validation revealed that as the influenced variables by the cultural difference in the knowledge sharing activity by using the information system are resolved, the Project performance is indirectly positively increased.
