Abstract

Budaya luar banyak diterima secara langsung oleh masyarakat Indonesia, budaya luar yang dikemas dengan menarik membuat masyarakat lebih senang dan bangga apabila mengkonsumsinya sehingga generasi muda pada saat ini mulai kurang meminati cerita – cerita rakyat karena dianggap kurang relevan dengan perkembangan jaman pada era globalisasi. Guru besar Universitas Airlangga Kacung Marijan menilai respon pemerintah daerah dalam menjaga kekayaan budaya, seperti cerita rakyat, masih minim. Di sisi lain, pemerintah seharusnya memberi dukungan bagi generasi muda mengembangkan cerita rakyat agar tidak hilang. Penggunaan media baru dibutuhkan sebagai salah satu media penyampaian yang dapat menjadi alternatif dalam menghidupkan kembali dan melestarikan cerita rakyat. Hal ini juga didasari oleh besarnya potensi platform media komik digital dan kanal youtube yang saat ini sangat diminati sebagai media hiburan. Dengan hadirnya fenomena tersebut, maka penulis merancang sebuah media motion komik sebagai media pelestarian cerita rakyat. Cerita rakyat yang penulis angkat berasal dari Kabupaten Bojonegoro, yaitu Angling Dharma. Angling Dharma merupakan tokoh yang patut diteladani atas kejujuran dan keteguhannya dalam menjalankan tanggung jawabnya sebagai pemimpin.

Perancangan motion komik ini menggunakan metode literatur dari buku Bunga Rampai Bojonegoro yang kemudian dilakukan Depth Interview terhadap budayawan untuk mendapatkan validitas dari cerita, pengkarakteran serta informasi seputar cerita rakyat Angling Dharma. Kemudian dilakukan studi eksperimental terhadap alur cerita hingga visualisasi karakter. Setelah itu dilakukan Depth Interview terhadap ahli untuk mendapatkan luaran yang dapat diujikan kepada target. Motion komik dengan durasi 6 menit ini menitikberatkan pada nilai-nilai tauladan dari tokoh Angling Dharma. Serta eksplorasi gaya visual dengan menyertakan unsur-unsur budaya dan nilai sosial budaya yang terkandung pada cerita rakyat Angling Dharma. Perancangan motion komik ini selain sebagai media hiburan juga diharapkan dapat mampu menjadi media pelestarian budaya dengan mengenalkan kembali cerita rakyat serta menerapkan nilai moral tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.================================================Foreign culture is widely accepted by Indonesia people, outside culture that packaged more attractive makes people more interested and proud when consume it. it makes the younger generation at this time is less interested in folktales because it is considered less relevant to the development of the era in the era of globalization. Professor of Airlangga University, Kacung Marijan, assessed that the response of the regional government in preserving cultural wealth, such as folklore, was still minimal. On the other hand, the government should provide support for the younger generation to develop folklore so as not to disappear. Using new media is needed as one of the delivery medium that can be an alternative in reviving and preserving folklore. This is also based on the big potential of digital comic media platforms and YouTube channels which are currently in great demand as entertainment media. With the presence of this phenomenon, the writer approves a motion comic as a media to preserve folklore. The folklore that the writer chose is raised from Bojonegoro, named Angling Dharma. Angling Dharma is an exemplary figure for his honesty and determination in carrying out his responsibilities as a leader.

The design for motion comic use literary method of the book Bunga Rampai Bojonegoro which is then carried out by an In-depth Interview of the Culturalists to get validity from the story, characterization and information about Angling Dharma folklore. Then an experimental study of the story line is carried out through character visualization. After that a Depth Interview is conducted on the experts to get the outcomes that can be tested on the target consumer. This comic motion with a duration of 6 minutes focuses on the exemplary values of the Angling Dharma figure. As well as exploration of visual style by including cultural elements and socio-cultural values contained in Angling Dharma folklore. The design of this comic motion aside from being a medium of entertainment is also expected to be able to become a medium of cultural preservation by reintroducing folklore and applying moral values in daily life.
