Abstract
Solar still merupakan suatu teknologi energi terbarukan yang
bisa mengurangi adanya krisis air bersih dan sehat yang melanda
berbagai negara. Solar still memproduksi air yang bersih dan
sehat dengan bantuan cahaya matahari. Prosesnya mudah dan
tidak membutuhkan komponen yang sulit dicari serta limbahnya
tidak merusak lingkungan. Akan tetapi hasil air destilasinya
masih sangat minimal, maka perlu adanya modifikasi dengan
penambahan collector yang dapat meningkatkan hasil air
destilasinya. Model dari solar still yang ditambahkan collector ini
berbentuk sistem persamaan differensial. Simulasi numerik
menggunakan metode Runge-Kutta ordo 4 untuk menyelesaikan
sistem persamaan differensial tersebut. Dari hasil simulasi bisa
dianalisis bahwa collector memiliki pengaruh terhadap
peningkatan jumlah air destilasi pada solar still.

Solar still is a renewable energy technology that can reduce
the presence of clean and healthy water crisis that hit many
countries. Solar still produces clean and healthy water using the
sunlight. The process is easy and does not require components
that are hard to find and the wastes do not damage the
environment. However, the results of distillate water is still very
minimal, hence the need for modifications with the addition of
collector that can increase the yield of distillate water. The model
of the solar collector added is still shaped system of differential
equations. Numerical simulations using the Runge-Kutta method
of 4th order to solve the system of differential equations. From the
simulation, the results can be analyzed that the collector has
influence the increase in the amount of distilled water in the
solar still.
