Abstract

Tenaga Surya merupakan salah satu energi terbarukan yang menghasilkan energi tak terbatas dan berdampak kecil terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi lokasi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) di Kabupaten Kupang menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dan Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), yaitu Analytic Hierarcy Process (AHP) dan Technique For Others Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). SIG digunakan untuk melakukan analisis data spasial, representasi dan identifikasi informasi spasial, serta menampilkan lokasi yang bereferensi geografis. AHP digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat kepentingan dan pembobotan dan TOPSIS digunakan untuk merangking alternatif. Kriteria yang digunakan sebanyak 10 kriteria, yaitu potensi radiasi matahari, arah orientasi, kemiringan, peruntukan lahan, badan air, jarak dari jalan, jarak dari gardu induk/ grid, jarak dari permukiman, jarak dari garis pantai, dan kepadatan penduduk. Hasil akhir menunjukkan alternatif kesesuaian lokasi dibagi menjadi empat kategori, yaitu very suitable (sangat sesuai) sebesar 12.106 Ha (2,4 %), suitable (sesuai) sebesar 46.990 Ha (9,3%), moderate suitable (cukup sesuai) sebesar 37.155 Ha (7,3%), dan poor (rendah) sebesar 1.412 (0,3%). Area tidak sesuai sebesar 145.953 Ha (28,8%) dan area dilarang (constraint) sebesar 263.010 Ha (51,91%). PLTS terbangun di Kabupaten Kupang seluas 6,24 Ha berada pada lokasi suitable (sesuai). ========================================================================================================= Solar energy is one of the renewable energy sources that unfinite and low environmental impact. This research studies the combination of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), such as Analytic Hierarcy Process (AHP) and Technique For Others Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to evaluate existing solar farm location in Kupang Regency. GIS will be used to analyzing, representing, and identifying the spatial data, even showing the georeferences area. AHP will be used to obtain the preferences and weights of the criteria and TOPSIS will be used to evaluate the alternatives rangking. There were 10 criteria, such as solar potential radiation, field orientation, slope, land use, water area, distance to roads, distance to power lines, distance to urban area, distance to coastline, and population density. The final result shows the site selection alternatives were grouped into four categories as very suitable 12.106 hectares (2,4%), suitable 46.990 Ha (9,3%), moderate suitable 37.155 Ha (7,3%), and poor 1.412 (0,3%). 145.953 Ha (28,8%) of the study area is not suitable for solar farm area and 263.010 Ha (51,91%) as constraint areas. The solar farm in Kupang Region that has 6,24 hectares area, it happens to be located in a suitable area.
