Abstract

Boiler merupakan bagian penting pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap. Salah satu sistem pembakaran pada boiler adalah menggunakan metode balance draft, dimana kondisi udara pembakaran pada furnace disupply Force Draft Fan (FDF), dan udara sisa pembakaran (gas buang) dihisap dengan Induced Draf Fan (IDF) dengan mempertahankan tekanan furnace sesuai standar pabrikan. Furnace belum bisa mencapai kondisi ideal, dikarenakan kinerja Induce Draf Fan (IDF) memiliki daya hisap yang kurang optimal. Hal ini diduga dari pembukaan Inlet Guide Vane yang tidak sesuai. Model benda uji berupa Induce Draft Fan disimulasikan dengan menggunakan software pemodelan FLUENT. Dikarenakan keterbatasan data pada PLTU Labuan, untuk mendapatkan model inlet guide vane, rotor, dan static blade dilakukan dengan scanning 3D. Sedangkan untuk casing model menggunakan referensi gambar pabrikan. Hasil scanning disassembly dengan menggunakan Solid Work. Pemodelan dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dalam metode kualitatif dilakukan pada bukaan 0°, 30°, 40°. Sedangkan metode kuantitatif dilakukan pada bukaan -10°, 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°. 40°, 50°. Mengingat proses pengaturan sudut bukaan Inlet Guide Vane pada Induce Draft Fan memerlukan shutdown unit dan akan menghilang kesempatan produksi serta biaya yang relative besar, maka proses optimasi bukaan inlet guide vane dilakukan dengan menggunakan simulasi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan kinerja Induce Draft Fan (IDF) dengan menentukan bukaan inlet guide vane (IGV) yang optimal dimana diperoleh inlet pressure induced draft fan terendah. Nilai hasil simulasi CFD pada bukaan 0°= -3129.56 Pa, 30° = -4208.1 Pa, 40° = -4425.2 Pa. dari hasil simulasi tersebut maka bukaan 40° adalah nilai yang paling optimal dikarenakan memiliki nilai pressure terendah pada inlet guide vane.

Boilers are an important part of Steam Power Plants. One of the combustion systems in the boiler is using the balance draft method, where the combustion air conditions in the furnace are supplied with a Force Draft Fan (FDF), and the combustion air (exhaust gas) is sucked with an Induced Draft Fan (IDF) by maintaining the furnace pressure according to the manufacturer's standards. Furnace has not been able to reach ideal conditions, because the performance of the Induce Draft Fan (IDF) has less optimal suction power. This is presumably from the inappropriate opening of the Inlet Guide Vane. The test object model in the form of Induce Draft Fan was simulated using FLUENT modeling software. Due to limited data on the Labuan PLTU, to get the inlet guide vane, rotor, and static blade models done with 3D scanning. As for the model casing, using the manufacturer's reference image The results of scanning disassembly using Solid Work. Modeling is done by qualitative and quantitative methods. In the qualitative method performed at openings 0 °, 30 °, 40 °. While the quantitative method is performed at openings -10 °, 0 °, 10 °, 20 °, 30 °. 40 °, 50 °. Since the process of adjusting the opening angle of the Inlet Guide Vane in the Induce Draft Fan requires shutdown of the unit and the production opportunity will disappear and the costs are relatively large, the process of optimizing the inlet guide vane opening is done using simulations. The results of this study can improve the performance of the Induce Draft Fan (IDF) by determining the optimal inlet guide vane (IGV) opening where the lowest inlet pressure induced draft fan is obtained. The value of the CFD simulation results at the opening 0 ° = -3129.56 Pa, 30 ° = -4208.1 Pa, 40 ° = -4425.2 Pa. from the simulation results, the 40 ° opening is the most optimal value because it has the lowest pressure value at the inlet guide vane.
