Abstract

Banyaknya jumlah rumah sakit
menggambarkan semakin banyaknya kebutuhan pasokan darah. Jawa Timur

Blood is one of the most important for the human body fluids, especially for
people who suffer from certain diseases. A large number of hospitals illustrates the
increasing demand of blood supply. East Java is the province that has the highest
hospital and are mostly located in Surabaya. Blood is the perishable products. So, we
need a good inventory management to reduce the amount of stockout and outdate. The
focus of this study is to analyze and evaluate the blood supply system in UTD PMI
Surabaya providing an alternative scenario which is expected to improve blood
services in the city of Surabaya.
Alternative scenarios were developed to evaluate and improve the existing
condition in the blood service UTD PMI Surabaya. The alternative scenario schemes
are the recruitment of blood supply and the determination of inventory levels of blood
supply. The results of the simulation running on the existing and alternative policy
scenarios were developed, The best policy in recruitment blood supply is the
recruitment policy of 60% of blood supply from individual donors and 40% of the blood
supply from collective donors. Besides, The best inventory level of blood supply is 8
days inventory level for PRC and WB component and then 2 days inventory level is the
best inventory level policy for TC component.
