Abstract
Pemuda yang merupakan populasi terbesar di Indonesia menjadi harapan
untuk meningkatkan jumlah ketersediaan darah di Indonesia. PMI membuat
program “Yang Muda Yang Berdonor” mengajak pemuda untuk menjadikan
donor darah sebagai gaya hidup. Unit Transfusi Darah PMI Surabaya merupakan
salah satu tempat donor darah yang berada di Surabaya memiliki peran dalam
mendukung program tersebut. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya strategi untuk dapat
menarik pemuda agar tertarik datang ke UTD PMI Surabaya. Improvisasi pada
kondisi dan fasilitas UTD PMI Surabaya melalui desain interior merupakan salah
satu strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mendukung peningkatan pendonor darah
dari kalangan usia dini.
Dalam menentukan konsep desain interior pada UTD PMI Surabaya
digunakan metode desain melalui tahap pengumpulan data yang meliputi
observasi, wawancara, survey, studi literatur, dan kemudian tahapan desain yang
meliputi eksplorasi ide konsep, sketsa-sketsa, dan studi kelayakan. Melalui proses
tersebut kemudian didapatkan konsep yaitu Modern Youth. Konsep tersebut
merupakan implementasi karaktersirtik masyarakat suarabaya yang modern
dengan pendekatan khusus yaitu karakteristik pemuda yang dinamis. Desain
interior UTD PMI Surabaya dengan konsep Modern Youth dapat diterapkan untuk
meningkatkan jumlah pendonor darah khususnya kalangan usia dini.
Konsep Modern Youth merupakan konsep yang disesuaikan dengan
karakteristik masyarakat Surabaya yang modern dengan pendekatan karakteristik
pemuda yaitu dinamis. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan penggunaan bentukbentuk geometris, dengan komposisi asimetris.
Dari hasil desain interior UTD PMI Surabaya dengan Konsep Modern
Youth secara keseluruhan membuat suasana pada interior UTD PMI Surabaya
lebih dinamis, dan menyenangkan. Hal tersebut ditunjukan dengan penerapan
warna-warna analog, bentuk-bentuk geometris pada elemen interior, dan
penerapan desain furnitur yang memberikan fleksibilitas pada pengguna. Selain
itu hasil desain dengan penerapan konsep modern youth memberikan suasana
yang dapat mengurangi kesan klinis pada interior UTD PMI Surabaya
sebelumnya

the youth to be interested in coming to UTD PMI Surabaya . need a strategy to

on the conditions and facilities UTD PMI Surabaya through interior design is one
strategy that can be done to support the improvement of blood donors from the
early age .
In determining the concept of interior design at UTD PMI Surabaya used
methods of design through data collection phase that includes observation ,
interviews , surveys , study of literature , and later stages of the design concept
that includes the exploration of ideas , sketches , and feasibility studies .Through
that process later found that the concept of Modern Youth. The concept is an
implementation of Suarabaya modern society characteristics with a particular
approach that is dynamic which is the characteristic of youth . The interior design
UTD PMI Surabaya by Youth Modern concepts can be applied to increase the
number of blood donors , especially among young age .
Modern Youth is a concept adapted to the characteristics of Surabaya
modern society with a dynamic approach that is characteristic of youth. This is
indicated by the use of geometric shapes, with asymmetrical composition.
Results of interior design UTD PMI Surabaya with Modern Youth as a
whole to make the atmosphere in the interior UTD PMI Surabaya more dynamic,
and fun. It is shown by the application of analogous colors, geometric shapes in
the interior elements and furniture design application that provides flexibility to
the user. In addition the results of the design with the application of modern
concept of youth provide an atmosphere that can reduce the clinical impression of
the interior UTD PMI Surabaya before
