Abstract
Pariwisata di Indonesia merupakan sektor ekonomi penting bagi
Indonesia. Berdasarkan data pada tahun 2014, jumlah wistawan mancanegara
yang datang ke Indonesia sebesar 9.4 juta lebiih atau naik sebesar 7.05 %
dibandingkan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Pariwisata sangat identik dengan sebuah
penginapan. Di setiap tempat tujuan wisata dipastikan memiliki banyak pilihan
penginapan atau yang biasa disebut dengan hotel. Saat ini, hotel menengah
kebawah atau yang dikenal dengan hostel, tidak banyak digemari oleh kalangan
wisatawan. Di Surabaya, belum ada hostel semacam ini. Dengan minimnya
persaingan, hostel ini akan menarik peminat pengunjung sehingga dapat
mendapatkan perhatian banyak dari pengunjung.
Konsep Nuansa Indonesia dan Green Living diambil dengan alasan
kondisi Surabaya yang panas sehingga dapat memberikan “angin segar” dengan
konsep Green Living pada hostel ini. Nuansa Indonesia juga memberikan identitas
pada hotel yang dibangun di Surabaya, Indonesia. Para konsumen hotel dapat
merasakan nuansa Indonesia yang dikemas dengan konsep modern di interior
hotel tersebut. Konsep Scandinavian dipilih sebagai konsep pada furnitur karena
sangat mendukung karena konsepnya yang simpel, fungsional dan bersih ini
cocok dengan jiwa anak muda atau traveller yang simpel dan bebas. Dengan
penggunaan warna-warna netral, dapat memberikan suasana yang nyaman dan
tenang bagi pengunjung hostel. Harapannya dengan konsep tersebut dapat
memberikan daya tarik bagi para traveller atau wisatawan Surabaya yang ingin
traveling dengan penginapan yang murah dan nyaman.
Dengan beberapa konsep diatas kemudian disusun sebuah konsep
perencanaan yakni redesain interior Hotel Grand Sumatera Sebagai Hotel
Backpacker dengan Konsep Nuansa Indonesia dan Eco Green Living agar Hotel
Grand Sumatera dapat semakin dikenal secara luas, sebagai pilihan alternatif hotel
dengan harga murah dan fasilitas yang nyaman dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan
selera para traveller.

Tourism in Indonesia is an important economic sector for Indonesia.
Based on the data in 2014, the number of foreign wistawan coming to Indonesia
amounted to 9.4 million drought or increased by 7,05% compared to previous
years. Tourism is identical to an inn. In every tourist destination certainly has
many options for lodging or commonly called the hotel. Today, the hotel medium,
known as a hostel, not much loved by the tourists. However, a very important role
in the hostel for backpackers traveler especially because the price is very cheap. In
Surabaya, there is no hostel like this. With the lack of competition, this hostel will
attract visitors so that enthusiasts can get a lot of attention from visitors.
The concept of Indonesia and shades of Green Living taken by reason of
Surabaya hot conditions can provide "a fresh air" to the concept of Green Living
in this hostel. Nuance Indonesia also give identity to a hotel built in Surabaya,
Indonesia. The consumer can feel the nuances of Indonesia which is packed with
modern concepts in the interior of the hotel. Scandinavian concept selected as a
concept in furniture because it is very supportive because the concept is simple,
functional and clean this fits with the spirit of a young child or a traveler that is
simple and free. With the use of neutral colors, can provide a comfortable and
quiet atmosphere for visitors hostel. The hope with these concepts can provide
attraction for the traveler or tourists traveling to Surabaya who want a cheap and
convenient lodging. Nuance Indonesia also give identity to a hotel built in
Surabaya, Indonesia. The consumer can feel the nuances of Indonesia which is
packed with modern concepts in the interior of the hotel.
With some of the above concept then organized a planning concept that
is redesigning the interior of Hotel Grand Sumatera as Hotel Backpacker Concept
Indonesian vibes and Eco Green Living that Hotel Grand Sumatera can be more
widely known, as an alternative to hotels with low prices and convenient facilities
and in accordance with needs and tastes of the traveler.
