Abstract
Keterbatasan lahan merupakan sebuah masalah yang banyak diperbincangkan
dewasa ini. Penggunaan lahan sangatlah luas, mulai dari permukiman, peternakan, sawah,
hingga pemakaman. Ketersediaan lahan untuk pemakaman semakin lama semakin menipis
karena jumlah orang yang meninggal juga meninggkat setiap waktu dan pemakaman yang
sudah ada akan tetap berada di tempatnya, sehingga lahan pemakaman lambat laun akan penuh.
Untuk itu, arsitektur seharusnya dapat merespon bagaimana lahan yang digunakan
untuk pemakaman dapat dihemat sehingga lahan yang lain dapat difungsikan untuk aktivitas
lain. Tidak hanya itu, arsitektur juga harus dapat menghilangkan kesan mengerikan yang
biasanya timbul di area pemakaman karena pemakaman adalah tempat dimana pengunjung
datang untuk mengenang yang sudah mendahului, bukan sebuah tempat yang harus ditakuti.
Sangat penting untuk dapat menyatukan area pemakaman dengan ruang publik dimana
pengunjung dapat bebas beraktivitas di dalamnya dan menghilangkan kesan mengerikan yang
ditimbulkan

The limitation of land is an issue that recently has been talked about so many times
since the problem is still occuring. Land is used for so many things, like housing, farmer, ranch,
and even cemetery. The availability of land for cemetery used is reducing as the time goes by.
It is caused by the increasing number of the death with the nearly full cemetery available.
For that matter, an architecture is suppose to respond by making an object that could
save some space for the dead and also used for some other living activity so that the land will
be used effectively. And not only that, architecture also need to dispels the sense of horror that
usually felt in a cemetery or graveyard because cemetery is a place for the living souls to
embrace the life of the deaths that had gone, instead of a creepy place filled with ghost. It is
very important to combine the cemetery and public space in an area where people could have
some activity with no fear inside
