Abstract
Kali Mas merupakan sungai yang melintasi kota Surabaya dari utara ke selatan. Hasil pengamatan di sepanjang sungai yang melintasi 3 taman, yaitu Taman Ekspresi, Taman Prestasi dan Taman Skate dan BMX, terdapat kegiatan wisata air dengan pusat dermaga yang terletak di Taman Prestasi. Wisata air ini memiliki rute yang pendek, yaitu dari Taman Prestasi menuju Taman Ekspresi kemudian kembali ke Taman Prestasi. Rute yang pendek ini akan lebih menarik dengan mengembangkan dan memperpanjang rute hingga taman ketiga, yaitu Taman Skate dan BMX. Sehingga integrasi wisata air sepanjang sungai dari Taman Ekspresi hingga Taman Skate dan BMX ini dapat menyatu dan terhubung secara menyeluruh. Kondisi ruang luar yang belum tertata menyebabkan permasalahan utama yaitu tidak terhubungnya kawasan ini sebagai satu kawasan wisata air yang terpadu dan terintegrasi satu dengan lainnya. Permasalahan keterhubungan sepanjang sungai khususnya akses melalui air sungai tidak mencapai Taman Skate dan BMX, serta akses darat antar ketiga taman juga belum terhubung dengan baik satu dengan lainnya, seperti beberapa akses yang terbatas bagi publik. Hal ini membuat wisatawan/pengunjung tidak dapat menjelajah dan menikmati melalui akses air maupun darat secara menyeluruh. Sasaran yang akan dicapai yakni mengidentifikasi potensi dan permasalahan ruang luar sepanjang sungai Kali Mas terkait aspek wisata air dan aspek perancangan taman dengan alat analisis walkthrough, kemudian sasaran kedua mendapatkan kriteria khusus penataan ruang luar dengan konsep wisata air di sepanjang sungai Kali Mas terkait aspek penataan lansekap dengan alat analisis cognitive mapping dan character appraisal dan sasaran terakhir adalah mendapatkan konsep penataan ruang luar sepanjang sungai Kali Mas. Beberapa konsep yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya ialah menciptakan wisata air dengan Taman Skate dan BMX sebagai titik awal, memanfaatkan dermaga pada area Monkasel dan area Gedung Grahadi sebagai bagian dari fasilitas wisata air, mempertahankan kegiatan wisata air pada spot Taman Prestasi dan menjadikan spot Taman Ekspresi sebagai bagian dari wisata air dengan membangun dermaga dan menciptakan atraksi sepeda air sebagai penanda akhir perjalanan wisata air

Kali Mas is a river which crosses Surabaya from north to south. By observations there are three parks, namely Ekspresi Park, Prestasi Park, and Skate Park and BMX Park. There are water tourism activities and the central pier is located in Prestasi Park. The existing water attractions have a short route, which begin from Prestasi Park, head to the Ekspresi Park, then back to the Prestasi park. This short route will be more attractive by developing and extending the route to the third park, the Skate and BMX Park. So the integration of water tourism by travel along the river from Ekspresi Park to Skate and BMX Park can be develop optimally and connect thoroughly. The current condition of the open space causing a lack of connection between these three parks as an integrated water tourism area and connected each other. The connection problem related to current access by the river do not reach the Skate and BMX Park, also the land access between three related parks is not connect each other. There are some restricted area for tourist. These make the tourist cant explore and enjoy by the water and land access thoroughly. The first objective that need to be achieved is to identify the potential and problems of the open space along the Kali Mas river that associated with water tourism and the park design aspect by walkthrough analysis tool, then the second objective is to obtain specific criteria of open space development with the concept of water tourism along the Kali Mas river that associated with landscape design aspect by cognitive mapping and character appraisal. While the last objective is to get the concept of open space development along the Kali Mas. The concepts resulted in this research are to create water attractions with Skate and BMX park as the starting point, develop the pier function at Monkasel area and Grahadi area as part of water tourism facilities, maintain water tourism activities on Prestasi Park, to develop Ekspresi park as a the part of water tourism by build a pier and create water bicycle attraction as the end of water tourism trip.
