Abstract

Dalam upaya menunjang pembangunan image museum, Museum Anak Kolong Tangga membutuhkan rancangan identitas sebagai tanda pengenal dan pembeda dengan museum yang lainnya, yang mampu mewakili citra, visi dan misi museum. Identitas adalah persepsi yang diciptakan oleh perusahaan, perorangan, ataupun ide yang disampaikan melalui bentuk visual (Sean Adam 2004). Proses perancangan ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap melalui studi pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan narasumber yakni sang kurator, observasi museum, mengidentifikasi masalah museum, studi konsep dan kriteria desain, implementasi desain dalam penerapan media hingga pada akhirnya yakni desain akhir. Adapun konsep desain yang akan dibuat pada logo adalah logo dengan menggunakan pendekatan bentuk dan benda dari mainan-mainan tradisional Begitu pula dengan desain elemen lainnya dan penerapan identitas pada media di Museum Anak Kolong Tangga, warna dan tipografi juga menonjolkan sifat tradisional. Perancangan identitas visual Museum Anak Kolong Tangga meliputi elemen visual yang diterapkan kedalam media identitas, meliputi logo, tipografi, warna dan elemen lainnya. Media yang digunakan meliputi stationary, office marketing & connection tools, dan environmental graphic design.

In an effort to support the construction of the museum image, identity design is required as identification and differentiation with other museums, which is able to represent the image, vision and mission of the museum. Identity is the perception created by companies, individuals, or ideas conveyed through visual form (Sean Adam 2004). Design process carried out by several phases through the data study, interview with a curator of museum, museum observation, problems identify, concept study and design criteria, design implementation in many media applications and final design. Design concept was from forms approach and objects of traditional toys, applied on the other elements of design and implementation of identity such as color, typography, and typography The visual identity design of museum include visual elements into media identity, including logo, typography, color and other elements, media used include stationary, office marketing and connection tools, and environmental graphic design.
